Yeah, it's a conspiracy theory heavily pushed my Infowars, that soy based products are a conspiracy to feminize men and that liberal men are pussies because they ingest too many soy based products, like $9 lattes. Which is kind of hilarious, because they hock a "nootropic" nutritional supplement drink on their network that contains soy. They're kind of infamous for stuff like that though, on the tip of "I know we've told you that this thing gives you anal chemtrails that make you believe in evolution, but these are the good ones, because they're purified from ancient glaciers, we need you to buy our shit before the Illuminati freezes all our assets so we can't tell you the truth!".

I can't remember what I was watching the other day but there was a compilation of someone (Alex Jones maybe? Maybe someone British? It's hazy) saying "He's a soy boy!" over and over in his radio show and I was fucking dying

Well it's been a while since an actual update. And this is barely an update, but here goes.

I think I legit fell in love tonight. Went to a work Xmas party. Took my son to play wingman/make social interaction easier. One of my coworkers, who I don't ever actually work with was also there. We've hung out once or twice with work folks. Drinks and stuff.

She hung out with my kid all night. Danced with him. Held his hand and walked him around. Gave us both a big hug and gave him a big smooch on the cheek before we left. He's been asking me if we can hang out with her since we left. I seriously was getting butterflies watching her interact with my kid.

The only problem is that she apparently just started seeing some dude and she brought him. He's actually pretty cool. Not as cool as me and my kid, obviously..

Ohhhhhhh man. Well. Obviously I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you! And shit, make a move if you have to!

As a registered soy boy, I'm of the opinion that it's only an issue in high concentrations.

But I do cry listening to NPR a lot more lately so I don't know what to think

Not getting weepy but weirdly 'nostalgic'? I don't even think that's the right word either? I got home from work last night and started thinking of two of my best friends fro high school (I am out of touch with but I know both have husbands now). Then I started thinking how at least up until half way through high school, when I got home, I just went to bed. Kind of blows my mind that it has only been recently that, you know, you get home -> Go on your laptop or tablet -> Check your phone a few times -> Watch a few videos -> Bed. These weren't an option not that long ago So after a night of hanging out with friends...that was it. Maybe you would watch TV or movie but you couldn't single handedly curate a whole other section of your evening.
