Re: UG Demos Seppuku Kompakt Kassette

Post by UglyCasanova »

It can definitely be controlled and less extreme. It's very sensitive to picking style, volume and tone. But like UG, I like it to go crazy, so my volume is never below 8 and my tone is never below 6-7 when playing with it.

If you turn the 'power'-knob almost all the way CCW and roll back on your volume and/or tone it can produce some really smooth, yet saturated warped tape sounds. :thumb:

Very true, i also notice that when stacking with other pedals it gets more noise oriented...but that could have to do with how i'm setting things up.

How did you like the tracking on the Sub T? I found it a bit hard to dial in but am still wanting another one for some reason.

I think the oct and uni synth track single notes great, and I can play double stops to get chaotic mistracking but then dampen one of the strings and the other will sustain tracking perfectly then get nasty again. Pretty cool. The octave down doesn't track as well, but about perfect for my taste.

I'll make one, just been dealing with teeth pain that a root canal only made worse. :(
It's a nice sounding fuzz with a small range, sounds great with modulation pedals...like the clari(not) for instance.

Thanks!! It sound great.
Why you have the volume maxed all the time?

I think I'll wait and get a Glitch Computer later.

For maximum volume  Recorded with iPad, any subtleties in volume control would just be glossed over. just how I set it up to try and show how it sounds with least amount of clipping.

Edit, just played around and there are a lot of more subtle and not so subtle possibilities playing with the volume control.
