lol. i love the work i've had done, but DAYUM. they would have to be craaaaaazy fast for me to be comfy with that amount of coin.

I get really good deals on my work. My sleeve up to this pony has cost me a little less that $450. Think there's around 15 hours in total there. Maybe more.

Ugh I want another tattoo now. WHY do you guys do this to me?

Man I don't even have one yet and I'm already planning my second.


I'll be getting a full sleeve. Any ideas on where to go next? Another sleeve? Will I look like dick with two sleeves and then butt naked?
I kinda had this idea of a black and grey sleeve and a super colourful sleeve.
I prefer bigger stuff to smaller.

So if you don't have any, just be mindful of what having tats on your forearms can mean. I rarely tell people this, but it is literally a career killer. It's getting better, but make sure you can cover whatever you have. I have hand tats. It's over for me. LOL. I could get one on my fucking face and it wouldn't make a difference now.

I prefer things that are thought out. Regardless of meaning. Just don't make any rash decisions.

Good advice dude. I'm making sure a collared shirt can cover the sleeve, perhaps at a slight cost to the overall aesthetic. At work I usually wear collared long sleeves, or a long sleeve and a sports coat or suit jacket. But I've been half planning my first tattoo since I was 18. Never had the funds before to do what I wanted.

But seriously. Fuck saving money. I hate it.

But yeah, would love to hear your (Jwar) and anyone else's thoughts.

But Sweden is a good country to have tattoos. It's pretty open to tattoos and there is about one month a year you don't have a shitload of clothes on. And everyone is on holiday that month anyway so the odds of anything getting seen by anyone is about 0

I agree with all of this. Especially if youre young and you have a career ahead of you. I think if i had forearm tats in my youth it would have hindered my progress, especially as i work in finance. But since i waited till i was 37 before i got my forearm tats and at director level, no one gives a fuck.

I think they assume by now with the level I at, im serious enough about work...whereas before they would have thought i was a liability. I thinks things are more relaxed now...i've worked in media companies most of my life, and although the creative side of the business has progressed to the point that if you dont have tats youre weird, the corporate side is still pretty conservative by comparison. There are some, but not many, im probably one of the few who happily roll up their sleeve and have tats on display at work...not to show off, but because im in Australia and it gets fuckin hot!

I'm not really a tattoo guy, and i think like 95% of the time they made women look trashy, and are not an upgrade.

However, I was to get one, I would probably get this

And yep, I work in the creative industry as well (motion graphics), and sometimes I feel like a fucking weirdo for being the guy with no tattoos.

I still wanna get some, just have never been able to commit to something I wanna have forever. Definitely over-thinking it. I'm 36 though, so better start soon... otherwise I'm gonna be old guy who gets a bunch of tats late in the game.

Really? I feel like around here most girls with Tattoos I see (outside of a few I know) are just average broads with like flowers, baby daddy names or forever tattoos
