Yeah this sounds like a great idea.

I will edit together a showcase of some of the quick and dirty recordings I've done so far at some point. There's not much to share, though. I think my idea works better in theory than in practice. If nothing else, I need more time (and loopers) to get attuned to working with them fluidly in real time.

If I'm being honest with myself (we can do that here, right?)... I really need to sit down and figure out what I need/actually works and what is just "cool shit to have around". I got really disenchanted this past year due to a certain builder and it made me realize a lot of the shit I have is just a small percent different from each other. I think the toughest thing is going to come down to admitting some of the stuff I hunted for hard should be going out the door and the time sunk into the hunt makes a view askew.

And then to fly in the face of the candid response above; I really want to try out the new Tym Fuzzerator. I had his Ram's head at one point that I stupidly sold and I haven't found another muff circuit derivative I like as much since. But hopefully that ends up hitting US shelves for like $150 and isn't impossible to find outside of a few asshats on Reverb.

4) Record other pedal and synth demos.
5) Finally do a BOSS SYB-3 demo that I wanted to do for many years!
6) Purchase a KORG X-911 Guitar Synthesizer (hopefully!).
7) Finish the KORG vintage effects website that I have in progress for over a year.
I managed to buy a KORG X-911 today. And the Trident is up and running again since a few weeks. Two gear goals accomplished already!

Maybe one of the Behringer Moog things that's due out.

I got everything and then some on my '17 list (and will be paying for one of the guitars most of the year).
Scratch that, I ended up getting a DeepMind 12 instead and I am very, very glad I did.

i got an interface for the MacBook. when the next paycheck comes i'll be getting Logic to record with...i decided on Logic because it requires the least buffer size of the major DAWs. as far as effects go, i'm very interested in the Pladask Fabrikat, and might go in for one of the Jerry Cantrell wahs, whose sound i prefer to the other wahs i've checked out. beyond that, the only thing i feel like i may really need other than a looper with longer time is a fretted bass--probably a cheap P-Bass--to get more articulation than i can get from the fretless Jazz Bass on faster tunes. i'm going to try to record with the mics i have now and see how that goes. learning the recording process and using it will probably take up most of the year. otherwise i'll be concentrating on fixing up equipment i already have...my favorite acoustic is going into the shop tomorrow for a tuneup.

There are another 33 on my wishlist, but the last pedal to arrive here wasn't on it, so it's also possible that my 2019 top three will be the same as above and I'll have bought 10 pedals not on the list.

Last night I foolishly strayed from the path into the wonderful world of UC and Simon The Magpie's self-built noise making pedals, so as well as buying off the shelf pedals I'd like to have a go at making something along the lines of the Scrap Yard and the Door Stop pedals.

I don't have the knowledge to do any circuit bending, but I can drill holes and bolt things together without too much drama :)
I've managed to acquire the Arpanoid and the second Count To 5 already, plus a few others ;)

My current wish list is an EHX 8 Step Program and a Digitech Ventura vibe, and I'm keeping an eye out for news of the Fabrikat and Purpll.

I haven't built anything yet, but this has reminded me that I was going to ;)

Same goal since starting modular in September of 2015...to finish (for a time) filling my racks...taking me back to that happy place where I can lazily and locally shop for pedals and old rack gear, at a relaxed pace that doesn't have me constantly strung out on gas. It is close enough now that I can see reaching it before year's end...and it looks like land after two and a half years at sea. Two and a half very rewarding years that have yielded many amazing discoveries. I return with two treasure chests full of booty. Gemstones and magic talismans and shit.

Fix rgb monitor
Excavate remaining childhood game consoles out of storage, recap as needed; play with old friends
TR-909 [yeah, right]
Layaway been settled. Rack game leveled up.
Tabletop in progress, taking more efficient form.

Still liking the idea of an Octarack II but it's fallen way down the list.
Surprise gear goal was somewhat impulse buying a tape echo [copicat ic400]

New shortlist acquisition goal is to grab a Cloudlifter and Beyerdynamic v90r
First repair goal is some minor soldering odds n ends, including new space/workstation setup, adding "spring cleaning" to the list :grumpy:

Add Bigsby to telemaster DONE
Mod the Traynor TS-25 so I can hook it up to my big cabs. DONE
Maybe get a Mastery-trem and bridge for the Puresalem Reverberation.
Upgrade my lapsteel with a Deusenberg Multi bender. DONE

Musical stuff:
Get better at recording and mixing.
Record and release another solo album
Record and release an album with my new duo, Old Believers.
Finish and release the new Solstorm album(90% done now).
Play more drone/noise/experimental gigs.
Spend less time looking at gear on the interwebs and spend more time playing and making music.
Currently working on my recording skills, doing recording sessions for my friends bands.
Regarding studio gear I have bought a Heil Sound PR-40, Cubase 9.5 and a new audio interface.
Still waiting for the Fabrikat to be released.
Not sure if I need a sampler, but I'd love to play with a Octatrack. We'll see.
Not sure about the Behringer synth as well, cause now I got a couple of synths available in our studio.
One thing I need to add to my gear goals is a new bass head. Not sure if I'll go SS(like an older GK) or tube(really want a V4).

2) don't buy any pedals unless I also sell one (this might allow for one or two exceptions lol let's be honest) (- doing... sort of OK on this?)
3) new bass cab :thumb:
4) 12 string electric?
5) make and release a lot more music (getting closer to recording an acceptable amount, still work to do!)
I expected to be a lot more disappointed with myself when I was looking for my post.

After selling my old pedals for buying a synth last year, I want to build a pedalboard again. For recording, my goal is to buy a compressor, another two H9s and a Fromel Seraph Deluxe. For instant-gratification improvisations, I have an idea to build some kind of a system with different granular and looping pedals around a mixer with lots of AUX sends (probably, a K-Mix). For this reason I’m really excited about the upcoming Fabrikat and 856 releases and hoping to get them (I was lucky enough to grab an Outward from the last batch and a second-hand CT5).

(My first post here. Hi to everyone!)

I own both a V4 and two 800rb’s, for normal bass use, GK all day. It takes dirt and pedals so well. The V4 runs out of headroom almost too quickly with bass.

Also more moments like a week ago when I suddenly found a ton of sounds in the pedals I grew too used to. Keep surprising them so they surprise me. Maybe get my board a bunch of flowers for valentine's.

Not much progress on top1, I've been spending all my money on traveling.

No Flowers neither for my board, nor for the gf (who didn't want any).

As to finding new sounds, that one is going pretty well! My Bastin guitar can be nice after all! BRidge Pickup and rolled back tone actually sound kinda 'jazzy'... And a sound I've been using for a while from the Gjengangar got dubbed "the cure from a parallel world" in the studio so I have been using that for more eerie-melodic type stuff instead of the noise I usually play with that sound.

I'm happy but I could use more pedals.
