FWIW - the lights are actually designed to be kicked/shoved as part of the show (like Weeble Wobbles). It's part of their "you think we're commercial rock but we're really punk as fuck" schtick they've adopted with Villains (get wasted and break stuff). This schtick (rebelling against the mainstream he's intentionally put them in) combined with his inflated ego are not serving him well. He really has become a caricature of himself.

Over analyzing rock stars is fun. Fuck it, get wasted and break stuff.

Yeah it shouldn't be surprising, but I think it's fair to still be pissed some asshole broke your camera into your face for no reason. He should at least buy her a new camera.
