I feel like an all Fairfield board would bring all the beautiful weirdness.

I've been considering an all-Fairfield mini board.
Unpleasant, Maude, Randy, K-Field.
So tasteful, so smash.

You should definitely do an unpleasant surprise video. It's also really interesting with their Accountant compressor in front of it.

Well shit, there's an idea: this plus an Accountant and I really wouldn't need the Instant Lofi Junky at all...

And you could have a super squishy or really clear warble at the push of a button.

Spring reverb and Fuck OD after all of it and it's lo-fi heaven. Ugh. Lo-fi board based around the SW would be so great.

I wanna hear the SW after a reverb.

Damn. All sold out. I guess I won't make a rash impulse purchase.

Maybe its just me but the tones in the Knobs demo are unlistenably dark for me. Every time the pedal is on it just mashes all the highs out of the signal and then there is a pop-up talking about subtlety. What? Im kinda worried about my preorder now. Even with the LPG all the way up it sounds like the wet signal on this pedal is super dark.

I noticed that too... but he's not using the mix knob much... seems full all the time. I can never know if I'd like a pedal while listening to a Knobs demo. His demo are cool, but he always sound like Knobs with most pedal he's using.

askashrub: I don't mean your demos are bad... I like them a lot. It's just not how I will sound using the same pedal.

Haha it's alright, music is a very subjective experience.

As for the demo, every single one comes with a set of regrets.
Features that don't get shown properly, or things that sound different in the moment than they do in the recording.

So, a few notes on the LPG:
- How wide the gate opens depends on your input signal. I enjoy a murky sound, and I enjoy kind of struggling with the gate. So I typically set my input low. Listening back (especially during the control sweep), I would have used a stronger signal for the demo
- I set the mix quite high most of the demo precisely because the effect can be subtle. It's not how I would normally have set it, but I wanted the effects to be obvious. Dialing back the mix will bring the highs in (this is how I typically have it set)

I really wouldn't worry about your preorder.
It's a pedal. Try it and see.

I've yet to be disappointed by a Fairfield pedal so I still have high hopes.

That's the thing about YouTube demo videos, a lot of the subtlties may be lost.

Do you think the Meet Maude is too dark sounding?
