Ok, so, here's what we're looking at now: everyone will receive the zip tonight/tomorrow morning (USE timezone) with or without Zads's contribution, since I'm not sure if he bailed for recording on the week or what, and I don't really enjoy the thought of having everyone wait around for two weeks to see what the answer will be. If you haven't emailed me on the ILFopensource account (its in the OP), do so so I can send all of you a BCC link to the dropbox file. If you don't, I'll just PM you, but my PM box is an ever shifting morass and there's no real way for me to track who has it and who doesn't if we go that route.

I am just considering my approach -- it kind of seems like cheating to just flatten everything down to a drone and layer. I want a track that sounds like me, but also want to get the most out of this sonic opportunity.

that is precisely the approach you should be taking, IMO.

I plan on doing it all wrong, and screwing it up completely.

Yeah, my bad.

Sample one is just sine waves with randomization of certain parameters, nothing is really changing except the end zone of the automation stops randomized.

Sample 2 is a lot of analog noise for you to pick from.

Mine are both sourced from the Shruthi.
