Yeah i think this is a fair point as well.

THRASH LIZARD ACCOUNTED FOR!

Ok, so, here's what we're looking at now: everyone will receive the zip tonight/tomorrow morning (USE timezone) with or without Zads's contribution, since I'm not sure if he bailed for recording on the week or what, and I don't really enjoy the thought of having everyone wait around for two weeks to see what the answer will be. If you haven't emailed me on the ILFopensource account (its in the OP), do so so I can send all of you a BCC link to the dropbox file. If you don't, I'll just PM you, but my PM box is an ever shifting morass and there's no real way for me to track who has it and who doesn't if we go that route.

In summary:

I can take a photo of my modular and effects, that's as close to stems as I'll get ;)

Fair 'nuff. Just an idea.

However! If you emailed me samples, I'm going to be emailing you a dropbox link to the big zip in a hot minute. That's everyone save Goroth, who PM'd me and I will PM in kind. Zags is out, unfortunately, although he has theremin to submit for anyone's consideration he's not going to be able to make it in time. Which is a bummer, since I love thermin.
So if you are one of these people:
1. jrmz✓
2. Eiwind. ✓
3. monkeydancer ✓
4. Strange Tales ✓
5. ProCarsteNation ✓
6. popvulture ✓
7. Aquietcabin1978 ✓
8. spacelordmother ✓
9. oscillateur ✓
10. ognoy ✓
11. Deltaphoenix ✓
12. DRodriguez ✓
13. Vidret ✓

You'll get an email from the ILFOS account with a dropbox link to download a zip file. That file will have everyone's samples, sorted by username. Since real life is kind of a thing and it tends to keep us from fun shit, are you guys all right with a tentative deadline of April 30th for submissions?

ALSO! if something doesn't work, please let me know. I don't know how much, if anything, I'll be able to salvage on my current timeline, but i'll be on tomorrow AM for work anyway so I can definitely try.

I'm looking for an apartment/moving that weekend, and chance at like an extra week.

Also, after listening to those sample, I want to touch all your knobs.
I mean I want to play with all your rigs.

Yeah extra week is fine with me. That'd be May 7th, for anyone playing at home.

Oh, I've got Paulstretch, but thanks! :)

I am just considering my approach -- it kind of seems like cheating to just flatten everything down to a drone and layer. I want a track that sounds like me, but also want to get the most out of this sonic opportunity. :idk:

that is precisely the approach you should be taking, IMO. :thumb:

I plan on doing it all wrong, and screwing it up completely.

can i just send those back as my own?
Yeah, my bad.

Sample one is just sine waves with randomization of certain parameters, nothing is really changing except the end zone of the automation stops randomized.

Sample 2 is a lot of analog noise for you to pick from.
