If ya need any info let me know.
Also I really love that Ceremony album, but holy hell did they go down the drain quickly.

For sure!!
Violence Violence, Still Nothing Moves You, and Rohnert Park were instant classics for me. I like Zoo and the L Shaped Man a lot, and they've grown on me, but it's a total 180 from the Ceremony I want to hear.

I couldn't get into Rohnert Park.

Just wasn't doing it for me.
Endzweck is sweet. That band rules.
I also really dig Young and In the Way. Definitely in the blackened hardcore realm, I suppose. Definitely cool with the kvlt black metal guys but I dig the hell out of 'em.

I'm just happy that Envy has tendrils.

Lotta goodness here... I like that Japanese hardcore, have an Endzweck 7" and got a Stubborn Father download code free from meatcube, so been listening to them a bit lately. And yeah, Ceremony. Only got the Scared People EP and Rohnert Park LP, so that's what I've listened to the most. On the fence about whether I should get the newest one, though I saw a show on youtube where they played songs off that and it sounded cool.
Anyone posted PUNCH yet? I dunno what the consensus is in the US, but I like 'em.

PUNCH is cool as hell, I saw their last/most recent tour in DC and it was one of the more intense shows I've ever been to

Played with Punch on their first australian tour. Guitarist was one of the nicest touring americans I've ever met. Bassist (whom I think was a fill in) cracked the shits about the bass amp we loaned him not being good enough haha.

When I was a lad post hardcore was like, Quicksand, Statue, Threadbare type stuff. I was briefly stoked when I started hearing that label crop up again like 10 years ago, then listened to it and realised it was a bunch of merchtable stuff that made Thursday sound like His Hero is Gone.

. IT WAS LIKE EMO ALL OVER AGAIN.
Strange Tales wrote:What year was the show? If it was during the Insomniac Doze/Abyssal/Jesu Split years I'm not gonna blame you at all.
2007ish? I dunno. They played at a small pub and it was like, they were up there on stage doing their thing and everyone was down there watching them and it felt like there was no real vibe between the two. Too polished and rehearsed for me. I was never a fan though.
Anyway, have a thursday morning rager with one of the best bassists in hardcore.

Glad someone got what I was getting at. 00s post-hardcore is metalized screamo and emo but usually on a jammy pop punk feel as opposed to a straight-ahead hardcore feel.
Punch have a funny history and following but I liked 'em up until that last LP, was little too d-beat this, d-beat that. Graf and Ceremony are like dead horses at this point but they were awesome five years ago.
