Also, finally heard back about the pickguard. I had sent over a certain file type that the people who are cutting the guard couldn't open.
So I'm going to print it out, modify it (because the template is ultimately too big for the record), cut it out of card stock, and send the cardstock template out to them to use.
I'm going to modify the left side of the template to be like a traditional Telecaster and have the really round edge to take in about an inch or so, and honestly only the right side is important because it has to line up with the control plate

Stoked for ya man. I kinda wish you were closer, I'd have gotten one of my 12's into your hands so you could get dimensions and see how things work on it. Sounds like you are fully on the right track now.

It'd be awesome if you were closer! We could start a dual 12 string band and both use Verellens and whatnot.

Nah, don't worry dude. It was a money issue at first, but since I sold the Big Spider I had a little more flexibility to be able to do it correctly!

Was really excited how that template turned out, ended up spending like an hour on it. I feel like guitars curves are almost as important/crucial than car's curves. Like, can easily NOT look right. So I wanted to make it look as natural as possible

Saturday I got the new MIM Tele bridge in, but I haven't done anything with it yet. Waiting for the Gotoh 12 string bridge to get here so I can harvest the saddles and drill the through-bridge string holes on the MIM plate.

Template has landed for the pickguard. One last play in their shop before they cut it!

You can tell them to send me all those guitars and that record player.
