I don't understand that reference, sorry. I'd never heard of that Michael Angelo Battio until recently so I looked him up on youtube. He's a right twat.
It was just me saying that no amount of Squire guitars is going to get you a chorus sound, unless of course you play two handed on a double necked guitar. But that's going to cost a fair bit more than a Squire. And you'd have to practise with your wrong hand a lot.
Considering what's in the Warped Vinyl, I think it's pretty reasonably priced.
Unless you tune with unison strings, which are bad ass

oh shit the morley pro flanger, and pro phaser are FATNESS and THICKNESS so much. so niceness and tweakability with the treadle. but they are large, so maybe too much to handle if you're not a size queen like me.

no love for the diamond halo? i found mine pretty cheap, one fifty i think. i dig it and i really don't like chorus. although i really just want a rotating speaker that just goes slow with random fast spins. like a broken one, or a zombie one. so a chase bliss.

Yeah, that's what I'm realizing it may be.

I guess I'm late to the party. Did ya bite the bullet yet? I'm sorta in the same boat, looking for a somewhat fattening modulation effect that doesn't take up too much space and doesn't instantly remind me of 80s hair metal or cheesy power ballads or whatever...
My CE-2 had been good to me in that regard, it's all the chorus I need. It's still a chorus though:idk:
So since my budget's not unlimited, I'll probably go with some sort of bread and butter phaser. Small Stone, Malekko omnicron, old scool Boss/MXR/DOD,...
If money weren't a thing though, and it didn't have to be a phaser: Mid-fi Pitch Pirate, warped vinyl, or just a really good optical uni-vibe clone.

Thanks, frigid midget. I've bitten many bullets and I've many more yet to bite. Haven't bitten the bullet on the Warped Vinyl yet. I've got to save up to bite that bullet.
I do like the fact that the Warped Vinyl by all account is described as being dark in tone though. Very promising.
Still haven't tried a Pitch Pirate.
(If anyone wants to do a temp trade with me, I'd like to borrow a Pitch Pirate and/or a Warped Vinyl to hear 'em fo' my own bad self. Thanks.)

I don't wanna get in the way of a possible sale, but if it doesn't sell soon, we'll talk.
