Anybody know of anything like that?
Could probably use the Moog MF107 Freqbox.
The VCO frequency can be modulated by the envelope follower which tracks the dynamics of the input signal. The thing is, you can also take it to other pedals from the Env OUT CV output at the back. (MF101 has one as well i think).
It ouputs 0 to +5V so I'm not 100% sure but I'd guess the Warped Vinyl expression input expects a TRS jack and probably provides current on the ring so a cable with a TS jack in the back of the MF107 and with a TRS plug at the other end would work nicely.
The ring on the TRS side of the cable would not be connected, but it would prevent shorting as the current from the pedal would not go to ground by beeing in contact with the sleeve. Something like that...
Anyway I'll try when I receive my Warped Vinyl.

This is exactly how you would want to do it, you'd just want the ring on the Warped Vinyl to float and not be attached to anything. I've never tried it, but theoretically it would work perfectly. You could also plug a TS jack into the warped vinyl (I have a resistor protecting the short) but it causes the Warped Vinyl to draw a bunch more current than it normally would, so you'd definitely want to *not* use a battery in this case. At any rate, your method is the perfect way to do it. I'm anxious to see how it works for you.

It was even more awesome once I plugged the cables in correctly - in that pic I have the cable going into the expression input on the Empress instead of normal input. That didn't work so well.

I don't think Joel would appreciate me doing a demo of his pedal, what with my lack of playing skills and all. In other words, I probably can't add any value to the demos he already did.
I will say this thing sounds fantastic, and I am probably not worthy of owning it. A shit ton of options to say the least. You can probably dial in any sound you ever wanted, plus several more that you never knew you wanted.
The packaging was sweet, including a numbered wooden box to stash your marijuana in, and a genuine intimation velvet bag for more drugs of your choice. It also came with a sticker and instruction sheet.
There were some quality issues that I was disappointed with. One of the knobs was loose, so I had to tighten that. No big deal I guess, but now it is too tight and doesn't turn smoothly. Perhaps it is too tight; I have been too lazy to get the alan wrench out again to test my theory. Another issue was the output jack piece (I have no idea what it is called) fell out when I disconnected the plug. So, that had to be screwed back in as well. That pissed me off.
These niggles aside, I am very happy with the purchase and look forward to his next pedal.
In conclusion, if you are looking to recreate the sound of your grandmother's haunted attic, this is the pedal you want.

That really made me laugh. It's so true.

I still love his demos though.

I have one of these to demo. Working out some possible ideas for different clips. I thought I would get to it this weekend but no dice.

He does tend to have the clearest sounding and most comprehensive demonstrations, though. Which is better than the string noise and reverby nonsense you often get.

That was a very nice demo I'd say, for the first five minutes he didn't even talk at all.
He didn't talk that much during the whole video actually, usually I find it to be exactly like goroth's description.

Anyway, if I hadn't already bought the damn thing that demo might have actually pulled me over, I can't wait to try it out myself!

You forgot the long speechless pauses timed for dramatic purposes. I only watch his demos when something seems confusing. Otherwise I pretty much get pissed listening to him rave about everything he demos. At some point... The boy called wolf.
