Thanks dude! Those Warmoth bodies do look nice. I've always had quality anytime I've ordered from Warmoth. I will say that I put this Bass VI together for about the same price as a Squier Bass VI!! I wnated to do it proper but still be on a budget and definitely was satisfied with the results of it

Do you find the need for neck shims with the Warmoth stuff?

I realized the other night that I made it harder on myself than I could have with my 12 string that has a Warmoth neck on it. I used screws that have a rounded top instead of a flat top to secure the Telecaster-style bridge in, which in turn doesn't let me adjust the saddle height as well as I could, which gives me some pretty high action with that guitar. I'm going to take the strings off and replace the screws, but in terms of action that I have had with Warmoth stuff I've never needed a shim

How well does the trem work on those new VI's? My baritones are all hardtails and a functional trem would be cool. I'm also curious if that bridge humbucker is on the hotter or cleaner side of things.

On my squire VI the trem works pretty good. I don't use it much but it's pretty cool for small accents now and than.

Yeah same here, I like the squier trem. Holds tune well, doesn't do anything crazy but it's nice for subtle vibrato.

Trem on my 90's MIJ VI works well. Way different feel with the added string tension, but it works and seems to be pretty stable.

Basically done, eventually I will get a bass vi hardtail from strider, but it plays SO much better with the bridge and string upgrade...

I think the only thing I don't REALLY dig with my Bass VI are the flatwounds....... I just can't really afford a new set of Bass VI strings atm. What are you guys using?
