I use the random time mode on the II the most out of anything but the pingpong and speed up/down modes on the DXs are lots of fun. I also use the Auto mode a fair amount.

I like the random time on the II too, that's probably my favourite as well.
Auto mode is also nice, with the steady length sample.
I guess the speed up/down mode affects the pitch right?
Don't know exactly what the pingpong mode is.

Ping pong keeps switching the sample playback between normal and reversed. Probably my favorite mode.

I like a lot the Rev (you can do some wonderful drones with it and the filter helps a lot shaping the sound), and both Random modes.
I always tend to have my samples/loops played back at half speed usually.

I'd love to try the Bitcrusher III. Unfortunately we don't see them available very often even in the used market.

I'd like to order a Melusine and a couple Varios to have on hand. The bitcrusher shows up a couple times a year on reverb it seems.

Yea the Bitcrushers do show up quite a bit. The Melusine is awesome but I'm waiting for a newer version. Piotr said that's a possibility, so I'm hopeful!

The Vario's are great too.
