If devi had just run off with the money PumpkinPieces gave her to build his custom God Machine pedal and never gave him anything in return, I can pretty much guarantee you, he wouldn't be saying, "Well, it's my own fault, because I know devi is flaky. I don't think PP actually said anywhere that you can't be mad or complain about it. He's just saying that a lot of people (myself included) had one motherfucking hell of a hunch that it was doomed from the beginning just because of who was running it.onyxrhino wrote:Yep. Yeah, Im not blaming my self or anything and I'm definitely not giving her a pass based on her history, but the warning signs were abundant and I chose to ignore them and throw my money into the fire anyway. Again, the presentation on kickstarter was great imo and the big list of great builders, who were used to sell the project, is what got me. Great scam, but yeah, fuck her. She'd turned around some of the stuff and was producing, but it was just for long enough for the Great Video Game Abortion to begin.
And that's when things got bad.
I'd hoped for more and better, but I don't float anyone that kind of money for an extended period of time without a past history of success or a total custom job.
And as much as I like Aen/Dwarfcraft, and I can't see anybody else doing it, part of the magic if the Devi stuff was the off-the-wall who knows what fuzz for cheap along with the DIY aspect.
And those days are done.
Glad I got mine while I could and have all the schematics saved for a rainy day.

I actually almost did get shafted on my god machine. She half assed the soda meiser circuit and it was low gain as fuck, like barely get a few notes through. She told me she was too busy and then a week later she "realized what she did wrong" and had me send it back. And it was a struggle to get her to do that. Luckily it came back the second time all good.
I also commissioned her in 2008 or 2007 to build me a custom fuzz and in the end she backed out and gave me half my money back and a pedal from her own collection. Not really shafted, but definitely started to realize she has a difficult time following through.
I am saying yeah it sucks you lost money, but fuck man investments are a risk to begin with. And you took a risk with Devi Ever of all people? I am saying you made one dumb mistake.

He can't stand a trans woman being confident with their body and posting images of it on twitter.
