I have loved NIN for years but this track is absolutely pathetic. What's wrong with Trent? Why would you fuck up your style with this teen boy band shit?
I am not liking them that much anymore, copy of A and find my way are cool, everything and came back haunted I think blow the hard load

sure it's different but i'm glad he's trying new or newish things
new = the harmony (i dig harmonies, so i might be more forgiving tho
)
newish = the whole PHM vibe these songs have (the beats and shit, you know)
yeah, i liked the other songs more, but no problem with this one
but haters gonna hate etc, to be honest there's never been a NIN album i liked from the beginning to the end, so this might be the weaker song

I like the song. Doesn't sound that different than Discipline to me? It's not 1990's NIN, but it's still NIN. Props to Reznor for staying fresh and adapting to the times and still sounding somewhat decent. I've got mad respect for the dude and always will.

Seems everyone had their own studio to create material which was dumped to a server and revisited.
These quotes are a pretty direct example of what sonidero was referring to:
Keith Hillebrandt first came to the attention of Trent Reznor for his sound design magic on the Diffusion of Useful Noise sample CD. When he got the call to join Nine Inch Nails in New Orleans, his first order of business was to create a 1GB sample library exclusively for Trent.
Before Trent would record a guitar track, he would describe to Alan the kind of guitar sound he wanted and Alan would get about five pedals, plug them all in, and start dialing in sound according to what Trent was looking for.
That bit about the pedals is lame as fuck. Reminds me of the fucking edge.
