Given that Jamaica is a former British colony, it seems like Brits are definitely into the music.

Brighton. There are plenty of white musos with dreadlocks playing sub-sub-sub-UB40 'soulful' reggae, and plenty of middle-class hippie drug addicts living off their parents' trust funds who are into dubstep/dub techno, but there's just no dub reggae scene here at all. I went to see Prince Fatty DJing about 5 years ago and that's pretty much been it since I moved here!

AFAIK, this is it for this band, which IIRC was put together when someone bought a synth and found it had a perfect Joy Division patch in it, and some guys came together to make a one off show.

There's a single 4 song EP and there was some sort of video which I once had, but I don't think I do anymore? Absolute fucking perfection.

Anyways, I'm sure King Tubby's been covered in this thread already, but the entire Uptown Rockers album is the pinnacle of dub music.

Well this whole thread is gold. Gonna open this up on my phone and listen throughout the nights in the kitchen. My stoner ass dishwasher is starting to get into dub and shit I play in the kitchen. Loved Scientist when I played it for him a few months back.
