which by now you could get for the same amount or less than this pedal probably will be. the only thing it might have over a DL-8 is a loop length longer than 10 seconds
I don't like having a pedal with multiple effects in it though. I like having a dedicated pedal for each effect. If I want a delay an looper I want to be able to use them simultaneously, and be able to put them wherever I like. I like my delay pre dirt. theres nothing I hate more than a pedal that has multiple modes that aren't foot switchable. I like to set and forget, and I hate bending over during sets to change settings.

That's exactly how I feel

You could just pretend the DL-8 has no other modes, set it on loop permanently, and go to town.
That said, the real point of this thread is I need to start a post-rock, post-glam Bee Gees tribute band with all cripples.
In Nazi uniforms.
Converting to Judaism mid-set.

Yeah, it just dawned on me how strangely divided we are by a pedal that could be a good, simple looper.
Also, if you're using a looper as a band substitute, you're using your looper wrong. That's like using a synthesizer only to emulate other instruments. It's a supplement, not a substitute.

That's what were talking about, you can use a looper however you want... There is no wrong or right way...

... but seriously, my looper fills the great void in my soul where other band members would go

Russian Circles do a fine job using a looper as a band member substitute.

Plus that looper doesn't need to get paid everynight, good business model. Some hippie Keller Williams uses and abuses that same model with negative results. Two sides of the same coin and all that...

Once again... this thing isn't for replacing your whole looping rig with one tiny little box. It won't do a lot of stuff, and there is only one button. If you want simplicity, get this. If you want features, get a DL-4 or Timeline. The Ditto is a GOOD IDEA, and I'm surprised no one else has done it yet. I guess companies figured they had to cram their delay/looper pedals to the hilt, when all we wanted was something simple.
That being said, I'm about to get a Vox Delaylab as a step up from a DL-4... how about the looping on that ass? One from our very own SmallEQ:

WHOA, WHOA, WHOA.....I didn't say anything about Euros.
$100 USD or GTFO!
For real though, if this thing has more loop time than the DL8, DD7, Flashback ETC. (T.C. already said it will)
and functions similar to the way the looping functions do on these same pedals without being difficult or annoying
and doesn't cost too much and takes up less space (we won't know until the 9th) it will be worth it to me to get one.
If you're in a Minus the Bear cover band, this might not work for you.
If you're trying to replace your Timeline, this might not work for you.
If you need MIDI controls, this might not work for you.
If you want to use an expression pedal to reverse the loop and impress your girlfriend, this might not work for you.
If you are looking for a delay pedal, this might not work for you
If you can't manage to stomp a switch in time and on time, this might not work for you.
If you are trying to take up half of your board with 1 pedal that you use 10% of the functions on, this might not work for you.
If you are into programming your own loops with your ipad and triggering them with your iphone, this might not work for you.
If shuffling through banks of electronic drum beats between songs while the Bassist tells jokes gives you boners, this might not work for you.
If you want to use a small, inexpensive pedal to make a simple loop to help you write or add some depth or ambiance for a band or
in your bedroom then erase it and do it again with something different?

This may work for you.
