There's little fat in goat meat, so you have to prepare it almost the same way you would venison or elk.
Mix it with a bit of sausage, and you'll never know the difference.

Orb weavers are kinda cool. Those little fatties have really good sight; there's one that chills on our shed and it always runs and hides as soon as I approach the web, even if I'm still 10-15 feet away. Building a web right in front of a shed door isn't the best idea ever, but whatever.

WTF are these things?

All they ever do is sit around and rotate their wings like they're rolling their shoulders.

Today in nope,nope,nope...the dobsonfly.
We were checking into a Motel 6 (Motel 666?) and this greeted us at our door.
Fuck these things.
This was over 4" long.
They can get up to 5" with a wingspan of 10". Yes.
The males look like this:

Which is terrifying, but it's the females that can bite hard and make you bleed.
Oh, and they spend most of their life in the water as hellgrammites. They have gills. And many legs. And pinchers.

NOOOOPE
I had two slugs making woopie on the side of my house the night of July 4th. It was truly a strange sight. My wife took photos. I'll bug (hehe) her about getting them.

Those are cool--it's a fly called a Picture-winged fly.
