i can see people with more normal needs than mine buying the fuck out of it all day long. most of those people wouldn't even get through a Randy's Revenge demo. and that's OK...i'm the weirdo. it was naive of me to expect that Strymon was going to make something aimed at my sick little heart.

The Gear Page must of been behind designing this

But yeah, it is pretty fuckin meh for me personally. But all the lawyers and dentists will wet themselves over it so they can play more dadrock.

I'm so happy about Flint being something that I will never have a use for!

hahaha, it's more like Strymon was created just to market them.

Strymon's marketing team is pretty smart (or just good at realizing the obvious). They know that TGP will get serious boners just from teaser shit now, and will speculate to no end until the reveal is made. By the end of the whole debacle, even if they are disappointed, they will have convinced themselves that they need the pedal.

they also know from their previous experience that there's a solid market for well-executed, tweakable digitally-modelled versions of utterly conventional shit, and that--as IMO is also the case with Subdecay's modulation pedals--that a multiplicity of features will obscure the fact that the underlying sound's kind of flat, digital, and not all that fantastic.

Same here. I can see the appeal for people that want/need it, and that's totally cool.

Yeah after I dropped 5 billes for the Timeline, it's a hell of a pedal BUT it's packed with shit that I know I'm just not gonna use the majority of the time.

The deal breaker for me at least, is the absolutely, comletely, totally, retarded, utterly insane programming of the unit for the need to press BOTH footswitches for banking. Yeah, I know I can get external controllers and the whole DMC thingy, but why? For $500 I want it to work like the Eventide.

I would sell it and get the Timefactor for that reason alone.

lol. oh yeah. i'm happy to support dooder at Disaster Area, he seems nice as all get-out, but i'm a little offended at having to drop another hundred plus to have a good control scheme for a $500 pedal. feel you there.

I thought they patched that or it was a submenu option or something...

Either way that sucks dude. I know what it's like to drop a lot on a piece of gear which fails to meet expectations.

I just ordered a Disaster Area DMC-4. I love the TimeLine and I'm getting used to the dual footswitch thing, but then again, I've never used it live to be able to say how much of a pain it is. I'm hoping the DMC-4 will just make looping even easier than it already is. Plus the 'undo' feature makes me feel better, instead of having to start a whole new loop.

I have..... and it sucks. Seriously sucks BIG TIME. Totally unacceptable (at least to me) for live use.
