I have to resurrect this thread to show some love for my latest acquisition. If a better phaser exists, don't tell me about it because I just want to live happily with this v2 forever. OMG. I love it.

It's pedals like this that make me wish I wasn't in a whelchair
Well...*ahem* anyway
That being said, If I get a phaser, it would probably be one of the INFANEM creations or an EBS D-Phaser (I know it's digital, but it sounds amazing!)

Dude, you should put them RIGHT next to each other!
And I also agree about the soundings of the two... I have a v3 and a compared it to a v4, we're talking 20 years between the two, and they sounded very similar. The v3 had a waaaaaaaaaaaaay more subtle Color Up sound, though... not as much frequency feedback. It did sound a lot more organic, though.
I must say that I ALSO ALSO agree on sexiness of the Small Stone. Really sharp looking pedal. Simple, robust colors and function.
lol I had them right next to each other for some poor people biphase action but now the v4 is first and the v2 is last. The v4 in 5 stage mode running into my Fuzz Factory is really cool
And yeah I love the way they look too <3
hiorgos - I haven't tried the Nano but I've heard it's the same as the big box version Either way I like the mojo of the folded metal enclosure better

Yap I was talking about the looks of the nano.. although some people says the nano sounds more thin, due of course the loss of the big enclosure. I know the sound is more important, but they did change a cool pedal into just a compact mini box.
I got a black sovtek one since 12 years ago, and really thinking I should get myself a USA version too.. (not as easy when you are not located in USA).
It's (the nano) simmilar to a V.3 Small Stone in that it uses LM13600 OTAs (or possibly 137s... either way) and OpAmps so it is a different design to the classic 5 chip (CA3094) & transistor Small Stone. Although they share the same topology of course.

That's interesting. Thanks! The v4 is more similar to the v1 and v2 isn't it?
