Overdrive everthing and run the Jazz Chirus for clarity and a little tone....
How to run them all? Shouldn't be too hard to rig up a liitle boosting relay...

And...since we are in a subterranean cavern...the generators gonna provide a lovely ammount of noise too...

Played at the end of a subterranean cavern at midnight to the sound of dozen BDSM fetishists cavorting.
Brown robes optional.
My innards are already vibrating.

Doomfuzz, there's a plenty of those Big Muff offshoots to choose from, if You're into that. I swear by something different, like... hey wait a minute - Is he around here anymore... no? Oh well...
...um, yeah, the low end need lots of air pressure so sure a wall of amps helps.
D.o.S. wrote:To miss the fact that ear-damaging volume, regardless of venue or medium, plays an essential role in the music you're trying to cop misses the whole goddamn point of the modern-day "Doom" phenomenon, and is misguided and silly. Wear earplugs, give them to the people who like you, but play so loud that no one can think about anything by the vibrations in their chest.
FUCK YES. In the 90's I've had several times the electricity turned down because of playing too loud. When you are prepared to risk that instead of compromising delivering the doom, You're doing it right. Just please, offer the ear plugs to the audience and the house staff. It's a nice gesture.

Absolutely unholy. Rocking myself
Hughes & Kettner Quantum600 head, with two 4 X 10 cabs. When possible, double stacks. Delivers. But Your drummer might want to be mic'd in the PA system.
Laney Klipp 100 head, with 15" + 18" cab. Suddenly it starts raining. Sledge hammers. Apparently it pleases the ancient Norse gods.

Jazz Chorus' are incredibly loud! I've gotten to play through one before and it was ridiculous how much volume it had for a little SS combo

Hell yeah! Loud, clean and tons of headroom....maybe not the ideal doom amp on their own but fucking ideal for shoegazing or indie/noise....

Wondering the same thing my friend..... I've never seen Sunn 8x10's either.... 6x10's yeah, 4x10's well the reissues yeah, but 8x10's? and 200watt Sunn heads? The only one i can think of is the 2000s even then i thought it was like the Model T and only rated at 150watts even running 4 6550's or kt88's

Moustache_Bash, the joke is on BOSS, really
EVERYBODY who knows a shit about doom, dope, disco, death, and love has already all those problems fixed by running a down tuned instrument through TWO fuzz boxes into an appropriately set up amp.
But I'll recycle the joke.

Yeah, Thunderverbs are pretty BADASS. Think they just released a 100W as well, maybe? I definitely prefer it over the RV series. The guts of the modern Orange stuff leaves MUCH to be desired, especially at those prices!
What I'd really like is some old school Orange!
