So what is the SUPEREGO?
The original Electro-Harmonix Ego was a microphone booster:
Electro-Harmonix Ego - Microphone BoosterSo if they use the "ego" name again it's possibly something for voice again?

Not to be a negative Nancy, but those guitars and basses, malekko or otherwise, really are pretty u-g-l-y. The malekko basses aren't terrible I guess, but they certainly don't excite...especially at $1200. I'd hit up Nelson for a custom if I'm spending that money.

I'm not a big fan of the Malekkos either. I think I could take my moolah to better places.

Yeah, I'd assume that style of bass wouldn't appeal to everyone, totally understandable.
I won't be buying a bass anytime soon so I'm not too invested in this topic but I still like to give univalve shit whenever/wherever Malekko is involved..........

Perhaps if they are cheaper, or I snag a used one.

919 butthurt? I dunno, nothing against the company, but that bass does nothing for me visually.

I have no qualms with Malekko, just haven't been interested in much since the E600 days. univalve had a shiity deal with 'em, thus not their biggest fan (and rightly so). Regardless, nothing important, just gently rib the guy now and again on Malekko topics....
EDIT: No 919 butthurt involved, no worries there.

This. I don't hate the malekko bass shapes it's the color+guard shape I just don't like. Also yeah $1200.. I've never payed 1200 for a instrument so if I was it would have to be custom.

Seriously, for $1200 it better be a damn fine bass, and I'm not sure its that. I paid $1000 used for my MIA Fender Jazz, and I think it was worth the money. Visually, the Malekko doesn't look like a $1200 bass (maybe a $6-700), and not knowing how it sounds or plays, I don't know if its worth that price either, but I'm not going to hold my breath. Just my two cents.
