Also open C is a fucking beautiful tuning.

Still using it, though sometimes I end up in Open B on accident. :thumb:

Oh, snap.

(Yes, FAGDAD, the alternate tuning preferred by homosexual fathers.)

Or the more politically correct version, DADDAD.
Or the high school version, FAAAAG

That was very awesome to check out, she's great, just got sucked in to checking out a bunch of her stuff! thanks for posting that. Way cool guitar, wonder what that thing would sound like all pedal'd up.

also I play a lot with "ostrich" tuning or variants like DADDDD and some other lee renaldo-esque super chorusy tunings that are way fun if you get into em!

Trying out C-G-C-F-Ab-c.

With my previous tuning (C-G-C-Eb-G-d) I really liked having the "dropped" top section and the minor chord of the middle four strings, but the C to Eb was kind of fucking me up when trying to do more melodic playing. So I kind of "moved" the tuning so I added another perfect fourth in the middle but still kept the open chord. I'm losing some super high notes and the chord shapes that went along with that top string, but hopefully I find the trade off worth it.

^^^So that whole minor chord thing is nice for finger-picking but I don't really do that on electric.

Tuned the top string down to match the fifth string (C-G-C-F-Ab-Ab) & I loooooove it so far.
Unison strings rule.

uh-huh they sure do.

I've been playing E F# C# A A C# lately. Just started strumming all the open strings and fiddling with the tuning pegs til I found something that worked together. It's fun to tune that way once in a while.

The second one, except the lower B would be a G.

I did this the other day and came up with something around C-Eb-C-Eb-G-C. Apparently my ears are very linear and focused on minor chords... but the one you came up with sounds interesting, I'll have to give that a shot.
