I use the Elements to give bass parts a bit of dirt when I need it. It's also handy to be able to adjust the EQ with it.

I think the Elements is handy all the way from no gain, just used as EQ, to lots of gain. I think the high gain side is most enjoyable though, I'd maybe almost suggest people don't get an Elements if they don't want the gain, but even without the high gain side the low gain side is still a super decked out Cleanness so it's pretty handy.

CBA wrote:So like what about the Low Gain settings? I'm going to minimize my bass fuzz setup to A/B, tuner, Bass Bloom, and either Fuck or The Elements, and both of the two latter will also double as guitar stuff. So since the Bass Bloom will have the high gain fuzz covered, will the The Elements be good for a very light OD to just slight goose for some bite?

I'm using mine for light OD because it fills the need I have (Very Well) for it. But it's got a nice range, as Ryan mentioned, that can go from light to high gain. It's a great pedal and don't be surprised if you find numerous sounds in various gains that you like...

Just a quick note... Band has been having a hard time getting together lately so I haven't had as much time with THe Elements in the mix. To make up for lost time I used it on almost every song. It KILLED! Band thought it was fantastic too. Stayed on the lighter gain side but I'll get it nastier next week! I LOVE this pedal!

Excellent. I'm going to get one of the new Binary Elements and stick it up my bass.

Thanks, man. And thanks for the awesome ass pedal.

I forgot to mention what I'm recording with....duh....I have a Roland R-05 field recorder. The demos through my rig, I just put the Roland next to me and use the built in mics, when I'm doing the DI demos, I plug straight into it from the pedal I'm using. So it's direct. I should be able to get that demo done in a day or two.
