i'm sorry for any small minded bigotry you have to deal with living your life the way you want to. that's unacceptable bullshit. i think every person here has said that Mssr. Corigan's being a complete douche nubblet saying anything like that.

It's funny to me that Bully Corgan threatens violence.
I mean,
A) Grow up
B) For somebody who also likes to threaten law suits, he doesnt seem to grasp the law on assault very well
C) I dont believe he could beat up anybody.

We should launch a Kickstarter project for the plane ticket fund to accomplish this.

Not picking sides or anything. I need to learn to watch my mouth too, and it gets me into trouble all the time. I'm not going to tell Devi how to live her life, and I can't tell Billy how to live his either.
I think the one thing we can all agree on is that internet drama =

I find this all very fascinating... and both sides have serious issues (don't we all???)...
First off, Billy blows her off a little bit about her pedals not all being perfect for him but he's still getting her to build him one and he never really says he won't use the new one live/on an album.
It seems like she took this like a 2 year old (maybe i would too?) and got a little pissy and had an issue from the get go that had nothing to do with personal insults, simply a picky ass guitarist telling it like it is, from his opinion. I can't blame Billy for anything here...Next, Billy agrees to be interviewed by some religious guy (Monte) on a regular basis and answer questions yada yada yada... This causes a HUGE commotion on a Pumpkins board because Monte doesn't support gay marriage and is in fact against it. Devi jumps in and slanders the hell out of Billy for supporting this guy by doing interviews with him. The general vibe there is that anyone who isn't 100% for gay marriage should burn in hell and is ruining every gay person's life.
still seems like Billy did no wrong. he has opinions, which apparently include not supporting gay marriage and that is perfectly fine. I am fine with gay marriage personally. I'm not a die hard advocate, but i see no harm. it's important to remember, however, that while it's great to be passionate about your beliefs you can't ever expect to force your views upon others. if there's one golden rule of humanity, it should be that you can't hate someone because they have a different viewpoint than you. IT'S HEALTHY!!! as long as we act like humans and adults and realize that people grow up with different experiences, influences, etc. then we should be able to accept the fact that they won't think like us. as long as someone isn't directly causing harm/pain on someone then it's ok. that's why we have a democracy, laws, courts etc to determine if someone's doing that. if you can't handle the fact that some people don't always agree with you, move to a dictatorship where the dictator shares every view you do. you clearly don't want to live in a free and democratic society. Then Billy reads this post form devi who, for all we know, is someone he is still excited to be working with but he's opinionated and offended her a little and maybe he's too busy to email here and he loses it. Posts crazy shit on his twitter account, sends threatening emails etc...
this is obviously where i start to disagree with Billy haha... even assuming the best case scenario, that he loves the pedal he made her and thinks a lot of her work, it is still no excuse to respond that way to her dissing you. i support IN NO WAY the comments he made and find them despicable. he clearly is borderling insane and in the past has proven this. however, she did say some offensive ass shit that i find somewhat equally ignorant and uncalled for. when has trying to force your views on anyone in history ended well? i'm talking when neither side was physically or mentally seriously harming the other at first...Anyways, i think they're both acting like 2 year olds but in all fairness... in the playground mentality we have at times... devi started it. she slandered the guy for having an opinion that he has every right to have. i agree for taking a stance in what you believe in but she went far beyond that. she went straight to personal attacks that at times had nothing to do with the issue at hand and she has continued to do so.
that's my rant...
pretty sure i know what's coming next...

Ken... Infanem... I'd assume.

But your work and Ken's work are two completely different animals. I have owned a lot of your circuits and I keep tabs on a lot of circuit benders here in Oregon. There is not one pedal that comes out of this city that is alike or similar too any of your creations.
What is he on?
*edit*
From off the top of my head, besides Catlinbread, and Melekko who JUST moved into Oregon this year, you have been the only major bender that has produced for a while here.
Buzz-R and the builder who does the Demon Attack/Spotted Owl have some pedals that are similar too yours but nowhere near close.
Devi has never copied anything of ours at Catalinbread, so this guy isn't talking about us here!

Couldn't read the whole thread so I appreciate the summary.
Am very amused by the "not on anyone's side comments"
This type of internet drama makes the end of Jay and Silent Bob strike back seem more realistic.
I am sure there is now a punchline to the joke "What do Switchfoot and Smashing Pumpkins have in common???"
Seems like a dick move by billy but the bears are who we thought they were.
Also: We live in a great age for access to information and a terrible age for self editing.

yeah except for no.
Not supporting gay marriage isn't a "viewpoint" that needs respecting. It makes you a piece of shit bigot who deserves what they get. Case closed.
Also, I can't believe I'm taking Devi's side because we all know full well the kind of drama she's capable of starting but what Billy said was unconscionable. I don't care if Devi called Billy an asshole penis-headed shitcunt. You don't get to make physical threats as an adult.
