Walking isn't going to help much unless you are pretty big. Aka if it's not hard, raising your heart rate, etc then it's likely not helping anything but slightly toning muscles...and you need to walk A LOT for that. So, just make sure you are doing it quickly or with some light weights to increase the "stress." Find hills, and time yourself walking up at a calm/standard pace. Then, try and beat your times every time you do it. I like to run through the woods/trails as the ground is uneven and changes constantly. This is good for the muscles, as it utilizes more than the main core ones you use daily.

Green tea is very good for you, so I always recommend people take/drink it regardless. As far as weight loss goes, green tea does have a small effect. Very small. If you were to look at calories burned your talking under 100 per day. And even there, we're including the caffeine that is in many green tea supplements and beverages.

Best advice: Take it for your health. It may help a little bit with weight loss, but it will be a small amount over the course of months.

As a side note, being in better general health does make losing weight and building muscle easier, because your body can push itself further, and runs more efficiently.

Fun fact: If you drank 5 cups of green tea and made no other changes to your diet or activity, it would take you 2.5 years or more to lose the 20 pounds advertised. (This doesn't include anything burned from exercise)

That is only a fun fact if you didn't get duped into buying the stuff.

I do feel healthier and I dumped a ton of weight while in China and part of that was from drinking tons of tea.

Basketball starts next week which will be a big help because I will have at least one night of scheduled exersize.

I buy the stuff also. Even if the hyped weight loss stuff is nonsense, it's still good for you. I recommend continuing taking it.

Try Stevia sweeteners. My favourite is Sweet Leaf. It tastes way better than Splenda.

But, I mean... a teaspoon of sugar is 15 calories. Is it really that hard to just have your tea/coffee/whatever how you like it and just avoid 30 calories elsewhere?
