i go through TGP and post... admittedly i'm a bigger presence at devi's forums... but the idea is the same here (i think)... reasonable discussion about reasonable gear at reasonable prices...
i lost sleep LOLing hard at the threads before they were closed and removed...
oh, and i don't like a bassy guitar sound either (slightly dirty jangle as my "clean" ftw!)

Playing with loads of bass can be fun if you're playing by yourself.... or you're in Metallica, but usually in a band setting I will turn down the bass to make room for the guitarist that has the guitar that is a bit larger, with a couple less stings, but also set up to play in a lower register. I wouldn't want to step on his tonal toes.
I wonder if this Ken fella is related to Victor Lustig. It's kind of a shame that business can say whatever they want in order to sell a few more products, and never be held accountable. It seems like the majority of Corporations these days are "stretching the truth" or outright lying about their products or services. Yet we still buy.

I think I use all the bass because I haven't had a bass player in a few years, usually just myself and drums, I have been in 4 different bands and always had the same bass player, he has now moved to Korea and will not be replaced.
To get back on topic, so....freekish blues is pretty rotten

RIP Korean bass man.

That's legit for sure. Definitely worked for bands like the White Stripes and Local H.... I guess I'd throw the Kills into that mix too.

I admit. I loled at this.
Too bassy.
It's a little too bassy heavy.
The mid hump is a little too bassy.
The bassiness (yes they use grammar even when the words don't exist) is a little too bassy.
I'm here all night folks.
I didn't know that too bassy even existed, if it does I haven't found it yet.
Too bassy my ass, bass is your friend, you damned corksniffers. And since when can Dumble and bassy beused in the same sentence?

I've been following this all weekend and man, what a crazy tale. Unbelievable really! Kind of disparages those of us that love to work in a basement, geeeez.
I really don't think that other brands are getting away with this.. you see some builders use GGG or BYoC boards sometimes but that really ain't the same thing at all.
I don't understand why TGP gets legally bullied by stuff like this.. those guys got caught lieing and stealing, why can't that simple truth be said there? I don't think you can be sued in Canada for calling it like it is. I feel like TGP makes the problem worse and lets bad guys be bad guys by not allowing it to be said, which I find very hypocritical from the 'moral majority' that supposedly runs that place.
