I'd like to get an ebony one, but then the V would be gone

make your own, stain it the same as the cab, burn a skull into it!
I've contemplated building a new shell though

I used a medium grit sanding block for about 10 minutes, but I guess I didn't get past the sealant. I'll probably try again really soon!

Thanks dude!!
I forgot to mention that I got to crank it for a good 40 minutes last night- played both guitar and bass through it. Had the MV all the way up and the Gain set to 6 before I had any sort of drive to it. The drive sounds WONDERFUL, and it was plenty loud too, even through just the 1x12

It had crossed my mind for sure, but then I asked myself 'how blasphemous would it be to put a Verellen in an Emperor shell?' hahahah

Emperor is being weird about making headshells for other peoples amps since their amps have come out, just a lil FYI.

Yep. They wouldn't have any interest in rehousing a competitor like Verellen either since the two have had some past disagreements regarding amps.

The Emperor shell would still run around $300 tho. Mammoth does great work. Dunwich Nick has headshell dude that charges around $135 IIRC. Also the guy who built Nick's baritone, TJ aka TheWoodWizard on HCFX, could probably knock it out at a reasonable price...

true love and happiness (Al Green) is when you can crank your amp to break windows level, and NOBODY complains.
