Yeah, I did Guitar > MiniArk > Metasonix TM-1 and it was pretty awesome actually. Another (though harder to find) option is the old Korg X-911. Pretty killer little guitar synth with nice CV outs. I was over at a buddy's place this summer and he was trying to play bass through his Euro system to get it to track pitch, and he was having a hard time getting it to sync correctly. Not sure which module he was using specifically though.

I will listen to some of his sound clips before making a decision.

The FreqBox isn't tracking the bass so well huh? Any idea if the MiniArk tracks bass at all?

The FreqBox probably isn't the best way to do bass->cv. It's not actually tracking anything, it just hard-syncs its oscillator to the incoming signal if you want which can be really cool but you don't exactly get a nice smooth signal, it can be a pretty weird waveform that comes out.

The FreqBox is dope, I am not trying to output it's pitch-to-cv, I know that won't cut it. I just want the most that I can get for my money. Moog is stuff is amazing, if it turns out to be the route that I stay with, cool. If I could either just send pitch-to-cv to the Minitaur and have usable results, I'll take that. I could make use of my MP-201 and other MoogerFoogers. If I could get more for my money by selling all the Moog stuff, some other synthy pedals and make a modular synth that tracks well, and it does stuff that is more interesting to me, I'll go that route. First I need proof that this guy has figured out which combo of modules makes pitch-to-cv a really usable option. I should have sound samples soon enough. IF it doesn't seem like I could realistically play my bass the way I want to through the set-up he is telling me about, I'll drop the idea until there is better technology.

I found a really knotty pine body on Ebay that I'm thinking of buying to make it happen. But I don't have any more room for guitars.... buh.
I was thinking if I did buy the body I'd throw a Bigsby on it for kicks since I've never had one
