Damn that Bass is pretty. IDK, I mean DIngwalls retain a pretty good chunk of their value. Like anything they have gone up in price a decent amount the last few years. My AB1 is from 2006, I believe, so I got a real fair price.
That AB2 is relatively new looking.
The other thing is, most Dingwalls (other than Combustions, different type of finish) are in really good shape. The finishes are super strong and the owners tend to baby them. MIne is going to be beat to hell eventually, 'cause that is how I roll.

The thing is, I don't think I'm going to do it. I've been thinking a LOT lately about what I've done as far as trading basses, and looking back...I probably should have never started that shit up in the first place. These thoughts came up because I've been taking a environmental impact class and I believe my judgement was clouded by GAS more than anything. So I'm tired of being a slave to GAS. I'm going to stick with the basses I have for as long as possible.

The Combustion is amazing. It has so much great tone in it. The only thing I'd do to change it is maybe switch the electronics so I can have passive/active. Then I'm set. I don't see a real big difference in Dingwall's basses other than the pickups and electronics. Sure the wood is different and looks different, but not enough to justify almost 3k for a bass. That's fucking nuts.

No I'm happy right now. I've got a Dingwall Combustion, Warwick FNA, Jackson 5 string (which I fucking love still!), and another bass. Plus a PT Pro that's over flowing and two amps. I think I'm set for now.

I need to switch my focus anyway. About to have that third baby coming any day now. I'm in school, work full time, have a third one on the way. I have a feeling my wants are going to be put on the back burner for awhile.

You know what would be sweet, a Korg Monotron (either the normal or delay model, both are less than $50!) to run through my synthy pedals and bass rig, just seems cool.

I really want something like that to run into my pedalboard, which can act like a primitive modular synth when fed an input signal...sometimes turning on 3 or 4 fuzz pedals with nothing plugged into the board creates enough gain that the hiss becomes signal. BWAA HAA HAA>

I may have to sell my rig and my guitar and some of my pedals because my car just recently died for good.

I need recommendations for a small ish rig. able to bring up and down stairs, gets good volume with out blowing off the doors.

What rig do you have now and what sound are you looking for? Sucks to hear, man.

Right now I have a ED130 music man tube head and matching cab. I love the sound and its a dirty dirty amp.
I got a larger rig figuring I was going to play music with a group again, that however has not come too pass. A combination of work, home life, and the responsibilities of home owner and the general lazies of my person never utalized it too its full glory.

I want something that is a small rig but not like a practice amp. Probably going to get like a 1x15 and a micro head on top cash permitting.

Have you looked into Ampeg's Micro SVT?
