I'm hoping that whatever is wrong will be covered by the warranty. And that there's an authorized Egnater tech somewhere in this city. Otherwise the local amp tech charges $120 an hour for non-warranty jobs. At which point I'm just gonna say "fuck it" and grab a Peavey Bandit or something.

I saw a car crash from just a few feet away today. Crossing the street and boom, collision. Not an easy image to get out of your head.
Everyone seemed to be okay, but it still shook me up a bit. In a way I am probably lucky because one of the cars might have actually hit me if it hadn't hit another car first. Guy ran a red light, on accident I presume.

Ironically it was right outside the hospital so if anyone had been hurt they would have to move literally 50 feet to reach the hospital. Just feels weird to experience as a casual observer.

eventually, everyone winds up drinking and listening to bad country music. well, at least everybody white...i don't know how well Trace Atkins has penetrated the Vietnamese demographic.

actually, it likely varies...i doubt there are a lot of C&W-consuming Indochinese in San Jose, but the fishermen down the Gulf coast are probably down with the swampers.

i'm having a bit of a quandary. i've gotten a couple of pedals i really want, and have a couple more on the way. given my general economics i really don't want to spend for another pedalboard, not to mention that the current setup has metastasized to the point that it's hard to get from one side to the other in timely fashion. thus, there's going to have to be a major re-arrangement of the board which will involve taking stuff off that i've lived with forever. off goes the Hi Five, the Tone Reaper, and the Distortion+ i've used for 30 years...my fuzz will be cut to Algal Bloom/Sound Shank/3-knob Great Wall. it's really hard to let go of some stuff, but i'm so happy to have the TBD heading back to the end spot on the board where it belongs, ready to annihilate everything run into it.

Just barely got out of the dentist. Apparently one of my molars just decided to die. So, now I'm waiting at the pharmacist for them to get me some pain killers for this goddamned root canal.

Have had face-melting, soul-destroying allergies / hayfever all day. As in more than twelve hours. Meeting new clients was hell. Driving was hell. I had to miss my training session as well as going with my new girl to a show.

I forgot to take my ATM card to work so only had enough cash for parking and a small dinner. CATABOLISM.

I got stuck in the fucking elevator going back to my car. Twelve minutes of hammering the "help me someone please" intercom button.. No luck. Start kicking the shit out of the control panel / buttons? = Two panicked dweeby carpark attendants turn up in thirty seconds to let me out.

It's been this sort of day...
