Also, it doesn't seem like a big process to me. All you have to do is send him a deposit and list the pedal you want. He builds to order. Makes sense to me.

It would be easier if I could just add it to a cart and checkout. Now I gotta do math to figure out what I owe for both pedals and math was my worst subject.

Okay... I see the Head Shop details now.
I can get Mountainking fitted with a cart if someone wants to refer me.

I mean you could always just order something else if you're going to knock the guy's method. Jesus, use a calculator, it's not that hard. Or better yet, try writing him an email.

I did order something else from somewhere else. A compressor, a delay pedal, and a Pigtronix Keymaster so I am not sure your point. Obviously I am being a bit jokey, but the fact remains had he a shopping cart like everyone else I would have bought 2 pedals right then and there. But once faced with an antiquated ordering option and not feeling like doing that at the time it gave me time to think if I really wanted them. I still do want them and will order it when I get around to it, but the priority got pushed back. Don't make customers work to give you their money. I cannot stress this enough people.

Well I get what you're saying, but I still don't think it's a hard process. I think it comes down to 'what's easier" which to me would decide whether or not I wanted something.
Look at it like a luthier who builds custom instruments. Do any of them have "buy now" options? I haven't seen any. I mean you can buy their made products from other places, but not custom. What if you would have emailed Alan and he said "sure dude I can bust that pedal out in two days". Then you could have gotten what you wanted, but you would have had to talk to someone. Is that the issue? Communicating? I just don't get what the big deal is.
Oh and I'm not trying to be a dick, I'm just trying to understand your logic. To me it just sounds like you wanted to buy something then and now. Which if that was the case there's a few Mountainking pedals on ebay right now.

My logic is what I said. I found it to be an annoyance to have to do that at the time. No I don't have problems with communication. I manage 2 departments (19 people under me) and deal with C level executives all day long.
But yes I have recently bought a custom flute which had a similar method as Mountain King and I didn't like it then either. Although since that was a more customized thing as opposed to just a standard pedal everyone else gets I didn't mind as much.
I'm not mad either. Soni was being a rabble rouser.
I'll check out ebay, thanks for the tip.
