I only own the Infanem, so I can't say. But the infanem compares favorably to my Binson model 2 echorec for what that is worth.

Interesting, thought it was a sens control.
yeah that is written on my box. it makes sense maybe, cause in one position the signal is more fuzzed up.

i can try, I imagine it would sound terrible but who knows. Sounds like fun

It'll be like your X-mas special or some shit. But yeah I think it would be an interesting challenge to line up a bunch of pedals and be able to make some kind of flexible/dynamic noise. Most I've done is like twelve. I think the key is variety, not too much dirt or delay or verb.
I'm looking forward to this!

indeed, going to take a lot of trial and error to keep things from turning to mush.

Hey, here are four delay's and two ringmod's. Montreal Assembly white fritter into Seppuku memory loss into moogerfooger 104 with death by audio space ring into Sepppuku Kompakt Kassette in the f/x loop, into Mr. Black dark echo.

Loving the sound at 4:40. Like two pieces of dry rubber being rubbed together (twss?)

I was geeking out for an hour or so with this set up getting some incredible sounds out of the combo. I'm really into the Kompakt Kassette.

Hey, here is a death by audio soundwave breakdown into a seppuku memory loss into the Kompakt Kassette. I'm really into stacking these seppuku delay pedals, they play so well together

I can't wait to get their Eco mod delay.

How similar is the Echo Degrader to the Kassette? They seem like they are kinda similar in theory in what they are trying to do?

blame it on the Kompakt Kassette

I wouldn't say they are that similar at all really when it comes to how they sound, but both are meant to and do degrade the repeats although in different manners. I see the Kassette as more of a noise effect. In normal use it heavily modulates the incoming signal, not the repeats...when you deal with repeats you are playing with pure chaotic noise. the echo degrader is more of a traditional delay that does interesting things(degrade) to the repeats. Although the echo degrader can be used to completely destroy the signal and used as an effect as well...just not to the degree that the Kassette destroys the signal. i hope that made any sense

Yeah Im looking for less of a noise effect but more of a random modulation type like a warped tape in a broken cassette deck. Is the Kassette mostly chaos all the time or can it be turned down to sort of get control of it?

if you watch my initial demo of the Kassette you'll see that its designed to modulate the signal like youre looking for. i highlight the noise elements because its fun and equally unique

It can definitely be controlled and less extreme. It's very sensitive to picking style, volume and tone. But like UG, I like it to go crazy, so my volume is never below 8 and my tone is never below 6-7 when playing with it.
If you turn the 'power'-knob almost all the way CCW and roll back on your volume and/or tone it can produce some really smooth, yet saturated warped tape sounds.
