I blame ILF being unavailable in grey hell for two weeks for costing me $500 on gear.

24 tracks at a time of simultaneous audio recording is glorious, glorious I say.

All my stuff sounds like it should and I can tweak the mix minutely later.

Now its time to focus on my recording game.

and a modded Tempode with tap-tempo in and no footswitches

I wish more time-based effects had tap-tempo input.... :(

Yea, I have the GT-10 code in my GR-55 but it only works with the GR-55 equipped stuff unless I do creative wiring.

I was going to get a closeout GT-10 but then the 001 appeared and ended that.

Budda amps are kinda meh, I think they lack true EL84 character, Vox amps are kinda unreliable and the handwired series amps sound like shit in my opinion, you should try my Valvetech next time we see eachother, I think it will be right up your alley. :)
For the rest there's Matchless and Bad Cat but I didn't like the latest Matchless amps I tried and so far I heard stories from four different people about Bad Cat not being reliable and using cheap Chinese parts in their latest amps.
Just saying, I know you're a tone hound just like me so only the best is good enough, that's all I got... ;)

I actually played that Budda* already. Sounds like what i want.
Bad Cat has a Chinese series (or had at one point). Perhaps don't mix them up. My Buddy has two of their amps, one, a classic cat, since almost 7 years. That shit is super reliable. But the EL84 Bad Cat stuff is too fat sounding to me.

*Best part, the guy will sell it someday cause he got a Kemper. So i will get the amp, that i liked while playing it myself. You know, with guitar. By myself  SCNR

Hmm, I see, the ones I played were all too compressed sounding so I'd be curious to know how that Budda holds up in a band.
I know, I was talking about the Bad Cat amps from the last three or four years or so, word is they used cheap parts on their top of the line models as well and things ended up not being as reliable and not sounding that great and that's apparently why their Dutch and German dealers dropped out back then.
Anyway, I agree with you, they sound a bit too dark and indirect to bring the true EL84 character.

The AC30HW isn't a bad sounding amp...and it sounds significantly better than the AC15HW...
But personally, I would sooner put the money toward a 1960something AC15 or 30....in most cases you're already almost there; rare cases you can get a better deal! JMI models in particular. But I prefer just about all forms of vintage gear to modern options. It's just how I'm wired

It's probably easiest to look at a schematic. Here's a 3x3:

Essentially you can mix any of the inputs to any of the outputs, which is awesome for feedback loops, noise, and DESTRUCTION as ryan pointed out
I'm sure you could do something kind of similar with a normal mixer but I honestly don't want or need 90% of the stuff on a normal mixer (like the EQs, mic inputs, etc.)
Gotcha thank you sir.
