I don't remember, but I really like the Mournful Congregation I've heard. I only have Book of Kings, don't know if they have anything else.
Monad of Creation and The June Frost are my favourites.

By far the best $40 I have ever spent on a pedal. Would love to try an OCD still, but this thing takes the cake for now. Haven't been this pumped on a pedal since I got the Pharaoh and Supercollider.

the fucking reverb on those clean parts is so fucking awesome too, which is why i picked this particular one( skip to 1:10 for the first snippet). nortt is the very best of the best of very darkest of the funeral doom black metal blend.
Hey, man, I'm just now getting into Loss's Despond. I recall you mentioning them I think a while back and I figure Asunder and Mournful Congregation are good bands to check out but any other recommendations that'd fit that mold?

Nice, I'll have to keep this on my radar. I love the OCD...actually one of my favorite OD/distortion pedals. I used to pair one with a Fatboost and Pharaoh and get killer sounds. Huge and beefy. Then I sold out to the Elements hype. And I'm not entirely sorry.

I would like to play this side by side with an OCD. Still on my list of pedals to try but if people are correct and the Ultimate Drive is pretty similar to the OCD then I don't really see a reason to drop the cash on an OCD. I will be buying a second Ultimate drive eventually as a back up/second board pedal.

There's a guy on talkbass that did a side by side of the OCD and Joyo. The OCD was a little bit better IMO but both sound awesome.

The Ultimate Drive is the same as the fabled Freekish Blues Alpha Drive? A modded OCD that most prefer to the actual OCD I think. Only OCD I liked was the v3 and it's tough to find at a fair price so I'd just stick with what ya got there if you dig it.

mate...here's a side by side i saw a while ago...i think the Ultimate drive sounds very good, even comparable, maybe missing the little bit of flavour, but for the price, you could forgive them that!

I have both, the UD has a bit more gain and a noticeable amount more low end but isn't quite as smooth with the gain as a regular OCD, I'd say its probably 92.8% of a regular OCD tone wise, but 1/3 the $. I actually prefer the UD if I'm mainly using it as a booster into another pedal or sparingly on its own, but I still kinda prefer the OCD if its the only dirt box I'm using for an entire song.

Congrats.
Also, love the new avatar.
Has anyone bought the new Converge album yet? It's good, but nowhere as good as Axe to Fall, IMO, and not as amazing as many critics have been saying. It just sounds like a classic 'middle ground' Converge album, but it lacks the diversity and pacing of Axe to Fall, and the intensity of Jane Doe.

I have, and as much as I love converge (and have for the past 14 years) I must agree with everything you said. Nothing reached out and grabbed me like Dark Horse or Cruel Bloom / Wretched World from Axe to Fall, and well IMO Jane Doe is going to be damn near impossible to top as an entire album.

Exactly. It's like the critics and reviewers never listened to their prior catalogue before reviewing All We Love We Leave Behind. Every review I read I feel like shouting, "Go listen to Halo in a Haystack. Now THAT'S heavy. Or, "Go listen to Axe to Fall. THAT'S an emotional rollercoaster."

If this is true then the only thing that would make me buy an OCD is if it it'll outlive the Joyo.

Yes, this is that pedal haha.

Yeah I have watched a few side by sides of the pedals. I only take so much from Youtube videos. Wood Wizard apparently did a side by side and he preferred the Joyo. There is no low end loss really with this pedal. But I was also playing it through my Bassman (which sounds fucking awesome with this pedal). Hopefully I will find a used OCD for a good price to snag some day so I can see if it's worth my time or not. Regardless, for $40 it's a steal. Would have paid more for it.

I've listened to Axe To Fall exactly one time, when it came out. I haven't heard the new record at all, even though I've had it download since it came out. I don't think they're going to top You Fail Me -> Jane Doe -> No Heros in terms of a full record. They've already done every sort of song they will do in those records and I fear they'll go the way of Mastodon. This is all my opinion of course, and I still think they're one of the best bands around.
The Agoraphobic Nosebleed split though...

Thanks and yes I am very fond of my new avatar. Really wish I could have used one of her more clothingless photos.

But Hattie Watson is fucking hot regardless. As far as the new Converge goes, it is good but it's not better than previous releases. I have listened to it twice since I bought it. On the other hand I have been jamming the fucking out of the Northless/Lightbearer split and older Kylesa albums lately. Will be jamming the Kylesa/Cream Adbul Barbar split.
