After months of of saying "I just need to do it" I finally made progress with three finger plucking. It clicked in my head/hand minutes ago.

SUDDENLY JOB STUFF.

Got an interview lined up at the local gas station next week AND have an opportunity to work with a music gear startup as their social media person and gear tester. Guess which one I'll pick?

I wrote up a review on the new Panda Bear album. Posted a link to it on an animalcollective forum and Sonic Boom read it and liked it!!!!! MADE MY DAY.

My band played our first real venue show last night to like 40-50 people with our friends band. Cut my finger on the first song and proceeded to bleed all over my bass strings and my pick kept slipping due to the blood (yeah i play with a pick ). As a whole it was a lot sloppier than our rehearsals but everyone really dug. Was such a fun night, just the boost I needed

Unexpected raise

Job interview at the guitar based job is happening! Lined up for this wednesday. To say im excited would be and understatement!

So, had first practice with the new guys, saturday. Just came to from partying after it. Listening to the recordings now. The guys in the band are epic, crazy people, with a sense of music, most of them never played in a band. I haven't had this much fun with music for so long..
And Aikido is wonderful.
Life is good.

Got some work ahead of me, seems I'll keep on delivering reviews semi-regularly in the coming months. More money for fun stuff.

Job interview went super awesome. The boss and employees are all music people with varying tastes. Hoping I get a call back about getting the job seeing as how well we hit it off today. Will report back!
