Frankly, I'm amazed I can stay upright with skis on. I can't imagine trying to fight gravity with both feet buckled onto a single plank of wood.

man, that sucks that he couldn't get you going. i can't imagine telling someone not to keep trying. and i've taught plenty of friends over the years. skied for five years before switching, still snowboarding 20 years since.

i don't wear a helmet but a brutally hot chick who snowboards could easily talk me into it...

lol. naw. it made sense. i spent an hour unable to do ANYTHING but fall down hard and bust my ass. couldn't j-turn or whatever at ALL. lol. i skateboarded constantly as a kicken, i'm not the most graceful but i played basketball for years so i'm a TAD athletic.

apparently.... none of that translates to having your feet strapped into a board.

also, the initial ski lift up the mountain can suck my dick. i'm DEATHLY afraid of heights. that shit was horrific.

i'm like the opposite, mess with skateboarding too but have always sucked at it. haven't messed w/ an avalanche risk scenario but have done plenty of hiking and can slide down damn near anything short of that.

Never been snowboarding (love my longboard though lol), but I've been skiing since I was 8. Shits prolly the most fun thing to do for me after sex and then play live.

My parents (bless them for it) first put me on skis when I was three. I got my first skateboard when I was about six (WAY before urethane wheels and sealed bearings...those came about when I was starting high school). I grew up doing both. A LOT. Even made Ski Patrol for a few years. Given all that, I thought that snowboarding would be second nature. I hated it. Completely. You can't take aboard into the bumps. Therefore, done.

You can totally take a board into the bumps.

What's even worse is once you live here long enough the ski shops give you better and better deals every year. Between that and the microbrews Colorado sucks ass for keeping money.
