Bought a new bass that's going to require quite a pedal purge to fund it, but then again, I have enough pedals to do three separate boards right now, so its probably time to thin the herd a bit.

I wanna try the OR15. It looks like if I ran both 8 ohm taps I could bring it down to 4 ohms maybe... Just looks perfect for the new apartment

Dude, you're so glad. You're gonna love it. Such a versatile pedal.

My Death Metal came in, it doesn't work, looks like someone tried to mod it, there are a few wires bridged near the footswitch and a few clipped from the jack to the PC board.
really sucks
guy is refunding it, but there is no flipping way it ever worked the way he had it
so the death metal quest continues

I'm sending it back I have no idea what all the jumpers are for, or what they damaged doing it.
I really want a minty fresh death metal

yeah it pisses me off
I can see where wires were cut and jumpers were added, really tweaks me, I do think a friend of mine may have one bouncing around that I can get my hands on.

Thought I could save some space and knock out a few pedals by picking up a Modfactor

It's just not for me, too complicated and it didn't like my particular expression pedal either. Now I'm afraid of multi-effects again. I dunno, I own a Timeline but I find it easy to dial in. The Modfactor was a struggle.

#1 Echo came in with the Shimverb last night. Shimmer on the Shimverb sucks horribly, but the room and hall settings are most excellent. The #1 Echo is VERY interesting to play with

After I watched a few videos and read the manual for a second time, it kind of clicked. I originally told myself if I could tweak 3 or 4 factory setting right away, to be usable, then the pedal is worth keeping and learning. I can't say that I am an expert and I still experiment a lot with the pedal.
Also, I got a $30 digitech 3 button pedal so all the footswitches only have one function. Way easier for me to use the pedal. What expression pedal do you use with it? I am using a Moog EP-2.

you would think the shimverb would shimmer well

Yeah you'd think it would, but they chose really fucking weird octaves to make shimmer that almost feel dissonant. I think stripes said they are 5ths

That has limited applications,
I have an eterna coming in (I think, not sure when they are shipping)
not sure I like shimmer yet but I will give it a try,
I think I may like the octave up delay on the time bender more
or running an actual pitch pedal into an RV5
how does the shimverb stack with the grail?
