Any pricing yet on the Nu:Tekt? And any notion that two could be readily hacked together?

Nub Ass.
If it's real that blue to black gradient finish is ugly af and belongs on a 1999 geocities website.
I believe that's Final Fantasy 7 Text Window Blue.
It's real and and actually sounds pretty gnarly.
 @ ffvii reference. And I don't wanna watch a demo of it for fear I'll want to buy that ugly boi.

Meris has confirmed their new pedal will be available on Tuesday.

https://www.meris.us/

A few people have put up teasers on IG. In Lipstate's story post from the weekend, her guitar sounded like a piano running through a pitch pedal. In this clip from Juan, it sounds like something that might be Shepard-inspired.

In Nick's clip...I don't know what the fuck this is. I guess you could use this pedal to fake certain modular textures, in addition to weird rhythmic sounds. :idk:

I don't Instagram (or indeed social media, really) but I went off and found those clips last night. I am quite excited about today's announcement but unfortunately due to location I will probably have to wait weeks before I can get my sweaty hands on one.

Despite their annoyances, the Polymoon, Ottobit and Enzo have become indispensable to me so whatever this is, it will be an insta-buy

To paraphrase worra, the Mercury7 is the best of the bunch because it kept its controls simple. Meris, great sounds and ideas, a mess to work with on the fly. For Instagram videos and bedroom noodles they are nice and powerful. Give me non-midi presets and I will support you. Write the hidden parameters on the enclosure. Also, give me wet volume control on the Enzo, because I love the sounds in this pedal and I keep it on my board, but whenever I find a sound I like it's often either too low or loud. Extremely annoying.

Meris: so complex we forget the basic shit.

Free slogan.

Took my Meris pedals to a jam a little while ago and while they weren't too bad to work with, they were nowhere as easy to work with as my Pitchfactor, for example.

If I were gigging and needed presets and stuff I simply wouldn't use Meris. As I approach them more like a modular set up where I tinker to get the sounds I like and if I change 'em, I lose 'em it's not such a problem.

I totally get it for that application, and they do sound amazing and are a ton of fun to tinker with.

Listening to the bonus clips on the product page, it seems like this could really do a lot of modern modular types of sounds (Hedra + Ottobit stutter clip #1). It really reminds me of the bright timbres of modern rigs.

https://www.meris.us/product/hedra-pedal/

Like others have stated previously, I'd prefer bigger boxes with less hidden controls. Rather than getting bogged down with secondary options, I tend to just focus on the surface features. For people who don't like the overall interactivity with these devices, I imagine the Hedra experience will likely deliver more of the same.

Those pitch shift tones are incredibly synthetic. It doesn't sound much like pitch shifting at all. It sounds like the guitar is triggering an internal synth that outputs sounds.

Least impressive/interesting thing they've made so far, IMO. As mentioned, quite synthetic and sterile. I like the videogamey sounds but I think I'm able recreate that much easier with other pedals and make it sound better, or at least more to my liking. The print design is really nice though. Probably my favorite of theirs so far.

Edit: I've only seen two demos, but these are my first impressions at least, or second.

Edit edit: maybe you don't need to put delays in all of your pedals, Meris. Just a suggestion. :p
