I feel you in one way. It's sucks they have to pay that fuckwit royalties. Personally, I wouldn't even give her the steam off my shit.

To be clear, I think Devi (the person) has done so much good stuff for the industry - like pretty much inventing the cheap crazy fuzz genre - but the way she treated DC just wasn't cool and it just leaves me a little confused. Maybe I should buy the peds in spite of the drama - it was of course Devi the person and not the brand.

Ugh. Definitely don't want to start a Devi debate, but yeah. Gas but non gas. Weird. Whatever!

Just buy used. Old devi/e13 stuff goes for peanuts pretty frequently now a days (drama related?) and you don't have to worry about bills getting to her.

This reminds me that I desperately need some Dwarfcraft. I fucking love aen's videos and demeanor so much. He is my favorite builder and I don't have any of his stuff yet :(

*cough cough* Pitchgrinder, ILFSS *cough cough*

In support of Dark Axel...The Rocket is a crazy good fuzz pedal. You cannot possible dislike her more than I do, and I still love that pedal. Bonus - Dark Axel will get WAY more money from the transaction than she will, I promise.

Second - there are TONS of them available used for pretty cheap. I just don't want people disliking a great pedal because she went bananas on us all.

So much this. I have money put aside for a wizard. Not even sure how I'll use it, but I don't have anything similar and it looks amazing and I just want to support dwarfcraft

Uhhhh, so I was looking at 60's Japanese fuzzes, and HOLY SHIT YOU GUYS! I may be a little late, but I just found out about the Fuzz master. Fuck me that's disgusting and I love it! I wanted a Superfuzz, but this fucker just destroys it. Tell me more about this special little apple on the Fuzz tree.

Pitchgrinder isn't really all that great sadly. It's cool the first time, but the one timbre you get from it gets old really quick. Doesn't matter what you put into it: bass, guitar, keys, drum machine, drone machine, noise machine, it's just one timbre. Ultimately I felt that the pedal was lacking because of this.

Also, everyone should have an EHX 8 Step Program. Already posted this in my demo video thread but man I really love that thing.

I gathered the same thing from watching the Knobs demo

Check out the Earthquaker Devices Fuzz Master General. That is inspired by the old 60s Japanese made Fuzz Master. Apart from that I can't offer anymore info.

I just picked up a PS-5, I was kinda thinking that I really want to try driving the expression input with a Goatkeeper or an 8 Step... and the EHX is way cheaper than the GK...

I like the EHX 8-step better than the goatkeeper for playing around quickly. Goatkeeper is alright and neat and all, but I would go for the 8-step.

Copilot Broadcast is really good too. I used that to replace a goatkeeper.

But yea for the price EHX or Broadcast.

Cheapest and easiest option is just to wire up an LDR to a cord and tape it to a flashing LED somewhere on the board....can be an LFO or env control really easily.

I had a GK3 and did similar stuff with a PS-3 but that was a few years ago and I always felt a bit... hampered. Forgot about the Broadcast, but I think the 8 Step will give me the flexibility of patterns...
