I'd rather actually be strong than just look it.

That's 'cause you've got your priorities all fucked up mate.

Nah, I'm out of the "mate lure and procure" game and into the "lift heavy furniture and move it around the nest game".

You just wanted to say "mate", didn't you?

You can have both! :) It's just not easy! For instance I know a powerlifter who has been lifting for 20 solid years. Dude is 5'9 and was sitting at like 290, no joke and he wasn't fat. Just boxy. Now he's show prepping (doing a bodybuilding show which he said he'd never do) and he is 230 and shredded as fuck! Like ridiculously shredded. I've never seen so many veins in my life. It's from all the deads, squats and heavy bench. I watched a video of him recently and he was still repping 600 lbs deadlifts! Dude has to be like 6-7% bodyfat, if not less. He's killing it still.

I also am about 7%, maybe less and benched 325 the other day. LOL. That's 10 under my max. I'm not super strong, but I feel pretty good about that shit.

Now for me. Having abs all year around does not matter to me at all. I like to feel good. If that means I have abs, great, if not, oh well. I just want to eat normal again!

It's all about taking care of yourself. Bodybuilding is hard, I won't lie. I cannot wait to get this show over with. I'm anxious with anticipation. Less than 4 weeks. I keep telling myself.

Then I'm off for a whole year.

So what I'm saying is do what makes you happy with fitness. Fuck the stigmas people place on others that you have to be a certain way.

Yeah I'm resigned to the fact that I'm probably never going to get big, but I'm liking what little I'm doing at the moment because it helps a great deal with my depression and anxiety and just dealing with stress.
I'm a lot more chill about everything when I'm hitting it regularly and I sleep a bit better. Plus that next day endorphin float is kind of nice too.
Jwar you should feel good about that lift. That's rad!

Burrito, what gymnastic stuff are you doing? That stuff interests me but I'm clueless.
I'd like to work on my agility and speed as well, is there any crossover there?

I'm in camp lanky (6' & 126 lbs) and probably never gonna get big, but I've put on 5 lbs recently and I have a lot more energy for hiking and biking and all that good stuff. Gotta keep drinking that chocolate milk...

That's exactly how I feel about it—last week I was super diligent about exercise and felt better than I have in a long time, both physically and especially mentally. Really good sleep!

Yeah it's only very recently in my life I've figured out how much anxiety has really held me back.
I guess I don't notice it when I'm looking after myself? Or at least the world doesn't seem so terrifying.
I suppose the upshot of looking like this guy:

Would be that I would probably have the confidence to be no fucks given about people and their horseshit.
So in that regard, I guess looking hot tamales and feeling cool cucumbers would be a legit.

You guys were right. My priorities are all fucked up.

(Prometheus Cultist is there because I can't think of any other pasty bald dudes that are inspiring physically. I'm sure there are a few, but that's where I'm at.)

I mean I use it from time to time but it's just too much fun to pass up.

So yes.

Nice.
I like the way the English use it.
It's much more sinister.

Yup! Fibrous greens are the way to go! Broccoli, spinach, kale...etc.
