Because without Madonna, it's total shit. She's awesome.
Example: here we've got a middle aged woman in a ridiculous pink leotard, oh look some freerunning, black people dancing at a bus stop, kung-fu Asian guys, and DDR. But, Madonna.

goroth wrote:You just finished uni yeah? I remember reading it... god damn you memory... But in any case, it's pretty normal that sideways/forwards/wtf feeling. I mean, you've got an awful lot of flexibility in uni, but at the same time you've got a fairly decent structure and you don't have to think about a lot - most of the supposedly "important" decisions can be put off for a while. But there are a lot of expectations put on people once they graduate, and I guess if you've got a loan and shit you've got a bunch of expectations on yourself. It's tough trying to get all that together.
Interview tomorrow will be rad.
As soon as you get in the room imagine that they are ILFers.

No, I'm just not a student for the semester because my finances got absurdly stupid fucked up.

I'll be back in school next semester, and it should be much better by then.
Thanks for the good vibes for the interview though, man.

Duly noted.
i lost my alcoholic and oddly queenish roommate last February by using a variation of this via Pigpen from the Grateful Dead, who once threatened that if Owsley--who was working the sound system at the time--didn't get things sorted
tout suite he was going to "cut your head off and then shit in it."

Duly noted. I was just in a bit of a weird zone for a few hours today, so I decided to quote FMJ to myself.
With you.

I'm getting really fucking depressed recently. It's just in the last two days, really. I need to talk to Kate about it so that she knows where I'm coming from a little more.
I'm just not doing great in this exact moment, and I needed to say something to someone.

Muffler rusted its way off my car. I knew it had a few holes but it went from kinda loud to obnoxious. I should buy a bike.

You have a girlfriend with enough empathy to actually care about your problems? That's something. People are generally such self-concerned social-climbing automatons. I wish people would look at each other more as worlds of their own - that's really what we are, and when we interact it's the merging of realities; my brother and sister and I get along well because over time we have built spaces together we can mentally co-habitate. But people judge each other based on their particular expectations of what a person should be, in their idea of what the world is. The most popularly held conception is the most oppressive and disgusting and ultimately empty. Don't let it drag you down. Let your successes mean something to you for your own reasons.

What?

i'm talking more about... well coming back to puberty, being a troubled teenager (while being 21), wanting to be someone else, feeling sick about myself and shit
