I just found out that if I pre-charge the Kink on my Dirge Multiplex before I switch it on, it makes this awesome high-pitched squeely white noise that washed into and sort of cascades into the repeats when I switch the effect on.
That might be old news for some of you, but I thought it was cool.

Doesn't quite even out the plethora of shit going on lately but holy fuck am I relieved, I've never been overseas before and i'll be alone the entire time. Cannot fucking wait.
Kind of gambling on how many decent gigs will be announced within the dates but so far I should be able to make Oneohtrix Point Never, Boredoms and tricot.

I used this site when I was there earlier this year:
http://www.tokyogigguide.com/ Got to see alot of underground noise music and shoegaze and stuff. The five year anniversary of MASF is still one of the greatest events I've ever attended.
thanks dude! i'm gradually cataloging sites and stuff to find out about shows so that's really helpful.
a little bit bummed that there's a melt banana/keiji haino/fushitsusha/masonna/violent onsen geisha show happening 3 weeks before i arrive but looks like i'll be able to catch Merzbow.

^There's this street like ten minutes walk from Jimbocho station with about twenty guitar stores. No, not instrument stores, straight up guitar stores. One of them just sold pedlols. It was heaven. And they sell used stuff for great prices. Get your ass to Jimbocho Station, walk across the main street, walk towards the McDonalds and you'll see this big Kurosawa Instruments store. Head left, and you should be there. As far as I remember (alcohol was cheap as well).

Want.
I dont even really listen to industrial music all that much, but I do love some of the tones. I would totally play in an industrial band.
Of course, at this point, I would be in almost any kind of band.

There is nothing as satisfying as feeding thorny bastard trees and brambles into a woodchipper.

2 exams, a paper, a lab report, another lab, a quiz, 3 extraneous assignments, 3 readings, and 1 problem set later, and I'm almost done with my week.

I have to admit, it hasn't been a great month for me emotionally. My girlfriend and I have been through some heavy stuff. But right now, I can honestly say that I've never been more committed to her than I am now and that all I can think about is being a better person and more caring partner for her. Here's to hope and working at relationships!
