To help lighten the burden on my shredded knees I've been incorporating more endurance/weighted calisthenics into my routine. I'm still doing ABxABxx but now I'm mixing it up with sled pulls, box jumps, gymnast ring work, tire flips, parallel bar, rope pulls, etc. thrown into the mix. I haven't been dripping this much sweat since I first started doing Oly movements :!!!:

I hit 205# on rows in OLY for a set of 4.

I've been stuck at 5x5 190# rows for fucking ever. May need to drop the weight and up the reps to make a move.

Nah, I did the BS max today. Last Friday was the 345# DL 1RM and 5x5 225# BS. I was corn-holed for days.

I was stuck on rows for a bit. Didn't do them for a few months but now a bit better at them. Most likely due to other things that helped strength my upper back (cleans, FS)

Keep plugging !

Everyone gets in a slump but eventually that itch will come back and the only way to get rid of it is to lift some fucking heavy ass weight.

Speaking of itch, today I checked out a new gym that opened up in my town earlier this year. It's pretty decent. It's really old fashioned and probably uses a lot of second-hand equipment. There are no showers or fancy lighting; just a bunch of weights and machines. It's rather grim looking, but with a companion it could be good, and the guy at the desk seemed cool.

€25 per month. If you buy six months worth at €150, you'll get another six months for free. So essentially one year is €150. I don't think there are any specific times you're allowed or not allowed to be there. I could see if my friend wants to join and get a lift in with him and have a gym buddy. There's a punching bag as well, which might have sealed the deal for me.

Fucking DO EET! I wish there was an old school iron gym in my area, I'd join in a heartbeat.

Speaking of doing things old school, these things:

will murder you in all the right ways if you use them right.

Dan - get your ass in that gym. :thumb:

Rocked the deadlifts today (for me anyways). 225# x5, 315# x5, 335# x1, 345# x1. Gunning for 2x body weight (360#) in the next couple of weeks.

Those shoulders though. no homo.
