Frankenstein is much better.
I loved Frankenstein. I felt really bad for the creation though. The reason I say creation is that Victor was the monster as far as I'm concerned. The creation was just another victim. Awesome read
Definitely, while the creation does horrible stuff, it's hardly been brought up with morals thanks to its deadbeat science dad.

Don't.

Frankenstein is an excellent book. Read it for high school lit and actually really loved it.
Just finished The Great Gatsby for the third time or so. Gets better every time I read it. The story, the characters, the language, they're all done in a way that makes it a multiple-read for me.
Also started Timequake by Vonnegut. Not my first read of his though. Love Vonnegut's tongue-in-cheek writing, how he weaves himself into the story and pretty much tells you what he's doing. Can't get enough.
Man, I love reading and don't know why I don't do it more.

I've only read 'Breakfast of Champions' by Vonnegut, but I thought it was brilliant. Which of his other books have you read, and what would you recommend, greyscales?

I've read Breakfast of Champions, Slaughterhouse Five, and the Sirens of Titan. All of which I thoroughly enjoyed. I have Galapagos that I need to get around to reading some time

Yes, for sure.
Also, if you like short stories, his anthology "Bagombo Snuff Box" has some of my favorites of all time.

I had read one of his books a while back and enjoyed it, so I'm delving into the rest of his stuff. He gets extra points from me because there is an essay in the front of the book on subgenre classification in Science Fiction / Fantasy. Also, he apparently played with Hawkwind and Blue Oyster Cult and some other bands.

Middle school must've been pretty tough with a name like 'Moorcock'.

I'll second Slaughterhouse Five (which inspired one of my fuzz pedals), Cat's Cradle, and just whatever short stories you can find. Breakfast of Champions was good, but obviously you've already read it.
Honestly I don't think you could go wrong with many of them.

This.
Vonnegut really got me into reading. I really teeter more towards Fantasy/Sci-Fi these days because I don't watch much TV and I get a lot of enjoyment from that particular style. That said, I love my literary fiction like any asshole with a liberal arts based degree. Vonnegut ranks up there with the best of them.
