so much CLEANER too. Volume and Hi/Low output inside, top mounted jacks and power supply, no footswitchers.

yahpers! Boost is the flippy switch up near the jacks, face flip switch is the on/off. but it's my only preamp, so i NEVER turn it off.

That is all kinds of awesome.
I saw a band the other day, and they weren't great, but the dude ran a a russian muff into a distorted bassman and it sounded badass.
None of my muffs have ever sounded like that. I think they sound so much better running into dirty amps.
Tried this one out yet? Looks like it's got a story to tell.

Got a cheapie Behringer CS400 compressor, which is a clone of the Boss CS-3. I'm glad I only got the $20 Behringer pedal since the compressor effect is so subtle in my setup. I don't really have the Telecaster + Fender amp to get that country compressor sound anyways. (My SG is fairly high-output with its pickups, as far as I can tell, so while I can play with dynamics, it's mostly loud anyways and compressor that signal to be a little bit louder for the quieter bits is really subtle compared to the compressor pedal being off.) I probably would've felt the $99 Boss pedal was way too much money for so little effect.
