You should read the manga. It's a modern masterpiece. There's a great point in the mid 100s chapters where each successive chapter is more ridiculous and more hilarious. I fucking love Prison School to death. They're doing a live action movie of it as well.

I'm sure it is, but I read for a living, haha. Watching shows is my time off from that. I'm sure the manga is awesome, but I don't have much time or energy to pleasure-read, or what you might call it.

i only got to ch. 60 or something of prison school, it's too much for me. i really like the art, tho. i just can't handle all the angles from underneath the warden's vagina. idk, im not that into the ecchi stuff. like, monster musume is kinda fun but i don't understand the hype.

I definitely feel ya on the angles that it's drawn in. I enjoy the story so much though that I just sort of go through that.

Fucking new Monogatari. I can't wait. I want to get back into reading the books but they're so monstrously difficult.
I still haven't finished the first season of Yuru Yuri. One day... one day. Still need to finish Lain.

Had a long anime break this summer, because I've been doing other stuff. Left middle season in Monogatari second season. Such a cool series. Also waiting for the latest Durarara! thungy to finish so I can binge watch it. Oh, wait, I did recently watch Armitage III, had some cool moments and great scenery, but ended pretty anti-climatically.

I'm puzzled as to why Eva fans have to get so shafted. 3.0 came out back in 2012/13 and 3.33's release date changed like 4 times. Recently, there's 2 separate DVD box sets released only in Japan - where you can buy either a HD edition or a rough untouched set. The 2004 Platinum boxset has been out of print everywhere else and is as rare as gold. But you can certainly find a billion Rei and Asuka figurines.

Almost caught up on Monogatari. New season is perfectly timed.

It really won't and i'm okay with that.

Though, i'd prefer the film be 2 hours atleast just to clear up the loose ends. Then again, I'm just so used to all of my favourite series finishing on such a fanbase dividing ending that i'm immune from nerd rage.

Probably a good idea, 2.22 ends on an amazing cliff hanger and 3.33 is a total mind fuck. Avoiding everything is the best.

Yeah, I don't get the hate 3.33 received. It's taking the story in a new direction, which I prefer to a straight retelling. Original series + EoE already nailed it, so another take on it is good in my book.

Hoping it winds up being a four hour long magnum epos with loads of classical music teamed with metaphysical imagery of the apocalypse.

I watched the original series & EoE quite recently and was left rather baffled by it all, and baffled by the love the show gets. Love the robot & monster design though, so it balances out. Need to check out the rebuilds.

I enjoyed Honoo no Kokuin, so I have hopes for this. I doubt it will scale the heights of the live-action/tokusatsu version at its best, but still on board with this, because it's a different setting compared to those. Plus, Masei Nakayama is officially the first actor to play two different Garos - he played Raiga Saejima in Makai no Hana, and is now voicing Raikō in this new one. That's pretty cool, I liked Raiga even if he was a but of a Gary Stu at times.

The only thing that concerns me is when I saw who one of the writers was - Toshiki Inoue. He's pretty infamous in Tokusatsu circles for his later Kamen Rider stuff, and for the Death Note anime, although he's also done some good shows too (Kamen Rider Agito, and before that, Choujin Sentai Jetman) and wrote a really cool episode of Garo: Makai Senki, so it all depends which Inoue shows up I guess. I've seen some people suggest he drove himself mental doing Rider shows almost constantly for much of the 2000's and it showed
