yeah. there's three. they change thematically as they go too. only the first is a noir'y detective thing.
but. yeah. all the change they made seem really lazy and like they don't understand the source material at ALL and just...... dumb.

I haven't read the books, but
the whole long-lost-sister-so-crazed-and-evil-because-she-really-loves-her-brother thing didn't work for me at all. It was way too abrupt and forced, imo, which applies to a lot of the major events and resolutions in the last few episodes, really.

yeah. they very much rushed the last few episodes.
the sister thing is the most digressional (shuddup. it's a word. NOW IT IS.) thing. and the most infuriating. there IS a Reileen character in the books, she is NOT his sister, she is AWESOME. Elliot is a'ight, but not necessary, way different and a one scene character in the books, Ava Elliot was downloaded into a small asian woman not a man, she was wayyyyy more developed, and had a long section that was very interesting talking about feeling like she cheated on her husband by fucking him in another sleeve..... uh.... what else.... Corrupt Tanaka didna exist, is so fucking cliche and dumb.
it REALLY suffers from trying to make every single character relevent to each other.

So far, all the episodes of X-Files S11 that weren't written by Chris Carter have been solid and the ones that were written by him were just the worst episodes I've ever seen in my life.

random J. Mascis cameo ~10 minutes

I watched that last night. I chuckled, occasionally out loud. I liked the keith moon impression and the bit about band practice with tre cool.

Watched 20 minutes and gave up. Painfully unfunny. Accent impressions? Jesus Christ.

I don't think standup is his strong suit.

Mike Bordin right at the beginning, and then a few more times, no?
did not find it very funny, but kind of entertaining, especially the bit about the evolution of the drum kit

The impressions were fun. The drum kits bit was cool. Otherwise it was hack to profoundly okay.
He's definitely not a standup.

jia. looks like they just have English dubs and subs, no og language track. but it's one of the animes that has really good voice acting in Englits.
i still prefer Vash The Stampede and Bebop in the Englanjelical voices.

GUYS.
The Ritual was pretty great. Seriously spooky and great atmosphere. Lots of tension. Very effective scares and I can't remember a single cheesy jump scare.
Apparently it's very different than the book it was based on but I never read it.
I don't want to spoil anything about it because I knew nothing going in and it was much better that way.
After the stinky shit nugget that was Cloverfield Paradox, Netflix did good with this one.
