New Balance makes some stuff with a smaller N, it's funny that stuff we made fun of my Cross Country Coach for wearing is now fresh gear
I blame Kith

Garrison Keillor
Skully, those Vans are off the chain! I asked my folks for a pair of these for Christmas so I can easily bike through the frigid winter months in ND

Oh yeah, Prarie Home Companion is huge around here, maybe I just know a lot of people that love NPR.
And yeah, I live in the flattest town in the state and I only go like 10 blocks max, so it's really easy. I wear a hat and a Buff (neck gaiter) and a snowboarding jacket with some wool pants and hobo mittens. I'm gonna invest in some goggles soon, but I hate stuff like that because my glasses always fog up. If I need to get grocerys or go across town I usually have my girlfriend drive me. I'm not a total hardcore bike master.

I ride every winter. They plough the bike paths here. I use mountaineering mittens, metal studded tyres and a cap to keep snow out of my eyes. Only ride a couple of kilometres a day nowadays, but I used to ride twenty kms a day when I lived further out of town.

I won't lie, riding in a headwind, with heavy winter tires, snow in your eyes and icy ruts covered in fresh snow is fucking miserable. But they're really good with ploughing here, so it is generally pretty ok for most of the winter. And we don't get too much snow either really. But where I live is flat as a pancake (thanks to the last ice age ending and the glacial erosion caused by the glaciars moving eastwards, flattening everything in their path and dumping a bunch of water between Sweden and Finland). But riding on snow that isn't full of icy ridges and is relatively well packed is pretty good fun

Yeah. I picked up a pair of Vans MTE earlier this year and I love the fuck out of them. Only thing I wish they had done different is done an ALL BLACK, SOLE & all that shit, too. I just love it when my shoes are murdered out because fucking snow and salt making everything all dirty.
I kind of want another pair. Or three.

I ride every Day fucking 20 km at least...
Winter is interesting: most of The time rainy and muddy but Sometimes closed Snow Cover on The tracks in The wood. These rides are awesome. Cutting your path through The snow in the silent wood is mental.
