I really wish Stoker had come up with more than one adjective for each character. I think Dracula is referred to as aquiline roughly 6,500,000 times in that story.

Can anyone point me towards any good fantasy/sci-fi horror type stuffs that can be bought in ebook form (preferably kindle)? All I have really read is Scott Siglers Nocturnal which I quite enjoyed despite the fact that it was fairly silly. Would prefer suggestions that aren't by Stephen King just because I'm currently reading the Dark Tower series as well.

HP Lovecraft is great! "At the Mountains of Madness" is a collection of short stories that will just blow you away.

Mary Shelley whooped some major arse with Frankenstein. Much better read.
I do love Dracula, but the creature has him beat.

Huh, I hated Dracula. Thought the pacing was rubbish and the misogyny just got booooooring. "oh dear, I am a weak woman and should do something but I need a strong man to come and save me from the sexy vampire!"

Frankenstein is much better.

Just finished The Circle by Dave Eggers. It was very engaging at the start, striking a great balance between the awesome and creepy sides of the internet, but ultimately his vision of a dystopian technocracy is unimaginative. His writing becomes more and more heavy-handed towards the end - characters lose their personality, obvious metaphors are explained in depth, the dialogue turns into more rambly monologue with random interjections. It's a quick read though, and worth it for the first half. Just don't expect your mind to be blown by the end.

"Songs In The Key Of Z" - by Irwin Chusid
It's about the history of 'outsider' musicians like Daniel Johnson and Wesley Willis, etcetera.
Interesting read. Probably beats listening to 'outsider' music but it's definitely fascinating stuff.

I loved Frankenstein. I felt really bad for the creation though. The reason I say creation is that Victor was the monster as far as I'm concerned. The creation was just another victim. Awesome read
